Palin Derangement Syndrome Gets Stranger and Stranger

NewsBusters is a site that takes bias in the media head on.

So you know they spend a lot of time on the media's obsession with Governor Sarah Palin.

Now, Palin obsession comes from strange quarters in the media, but when the TV critic takes pot shots at Sarah Palin because of a cameo on a cable reality show, well that is a new stretch worthy of NewsBusters attention.

In Warner Todd Huston's post entitled, "Palin Derangement Syndrome Engulf's Baltimore Sun's TV Guy," Newsbusters is on to one of the most contrived pot shots at Sarah Palin ever to appear in the main stream media.

The guy that went out of his way to take the Palin pot shot is TV Critic David Zurawik, or as macho Dave likes to call himself, Z, as in Zorro or Zero.

Here is what NewsBusters has to say about - "Z"

Baltimore Sun TV critic David Zurawik should check into a clinic somewhere to have his delicate mental balance checked. Maybe they might have some nice medication he can take to temper his Palin Derangement Syndrome? His is so bad he can't even write about a little reality TV show without indulging unnecessary vitriol and hate.

It's interesting that critic Zurawik gets so filled with hate in such a short space. In fact, the tiny four paragraph "review" spends more time name calling and attacking Governor Palin than it does in discussing the TV show on which she is about to appear; TLC's American Chopper.

Please do read the NewsBuster's take on this by clicking here.

Please don't go to "The Z's" post at the Baltimore Sun. That will only encourage him.

Here is what he wrote:

"Move over, Kate Gosselin, a bigger hot dog than you is coming to The Learning Channel Thursday night when Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin appears on American Chopper.

Is this a marriage made in reality TV heaven or what?

Thursday's episode featues Paul Teutul Sr., the father of the chopper building clan that stars in this series, journeying to Alaska to do research on a special bike that he and his posse are building to honor the 50th anniversary of the state.

And, of course, who better to be his new best biker mama friend than that moose hunting sharpshooter, who blew up any chance the Republicans had to make it to the White House last fall with her divisive rhetoric and disastrous TV interviews."

That's it.

That's all the space "The Z" gets. Must be a small "z" (by the way Z, you're missing an "r" in features.)

But please do write to him and tell him how you feel about his bizarre obsession with Governor Palin. Here is his email address - david.zurawik@baltsun.com

A Strong Case For Palin in 2012

The Race42012 Blog does an in depth and fascinating analysis of three recent polls that show some early trends in the Republican race for the 2012 nomination.

The Blog shows that there are 4 early front-runners: Palin, Huckabee, Romney and Gingrich. That, of course, will change quickly as I am convinced a fresh new face will emerge to challenge for the nomination - Crist, Huntsman and Sanford are the favorite names right now with Jindal and Pawlenty slipping. It may end up being someone that nobody is talking about right now.

It is not surprising that the four most recognizable names are at the top of the list right now.

Race42012 analyzes all four, but find two fascinating things with Governor Palin in the early polls. First, that her strength with Conservatives is still strong with 67percent saying Sarah Palin is their first choice. And then there is the gender gap, by 13 percentage points, men favor Sarah Palin over women. Here is more lifted from the blog -

I would go as far as to say that if she commits early to a campaign, there’s simply no stopping her in getting the GOP nomination provided that she understands she has to earn victories in early primaries. She won’t win on adulation at a nationwide level in Iowa and New Hampshire.

She has two related problems. First, is that her life has become a soap opera and the media focus has been on some salacious details which makes it harder for her to be taken seriously.

The second thing we have to acknowledge is the role of female sexism against women. I think men have a higher opinion of Palin because they’re less likely to make judgments about her parenting. Women, on the other hand, would seem to be looking at various circumstances such as her having five children and working (even though by the time she runs again, she’ll only have 3 children at home with one of those three being 17 years old).

The question that must be begged is whether this makes Palin unelectable. I think under the right circumstances she could win. She has the heart of the Republican base, so I think she can win the nomination and if, in a general election, the conditions of the nation dictate a change in power, she will win. If the circumstances dictate a change at the top, voters are not likely to look at peripheral issues.

The Posts Big Sarah Palin Mistake

The New York Post asked several people to write op-ed pieces on President Barack Obama's first 100 days in office.

One was credited to Sarah Palin. It had the best line in the paper -

Obama has taken gratuitous swipes at the Republicans who recently decamped Washington, blaming President Bush for everything from the economy and the war to the lack of sufficient puppies and rainbows.

The only problem is - it wasn't Sarah Palin.

It is conservative writer Meghan Clyne. One of the Post Editors got an email from Meghan Stapleton, Sarah Palin's personal spokesperson, and mized them up.

So it's not Sarah, but it's still a good read - click here for the corrected Post version.

Sarah Palin Now Ready To Accept Your Money to Pay Her Legal Fees

It is called the Alaska Fund Trust and it is set up to help pay Sarah Palin's mounting legal fees against politically motivated ethics violations

Here is what it says on the front page:

The Alaska Fund Trust is the official legal fund created to defend the integrity of the Alaska Governor's Office from an onslaught of political attacks launched against current Governor Sarah Palin, the First Family, and state-employed colleagues. These baseless accusations have cost Alaska more than $1 million in public monies to defend, and Governor Palin has incurred more than half a million dollars in personal debt defending her official actions as Governor. You can help by donating to the Alaska Fund Trust today!

Statement of Trustee Kristan Cole
"Over the past months it became increasingly clear that supporters of Governor Palin needed to help defend against the onslaught of frivolous attacks against her. These baseless accusations are designed to inhibit her ability to focus on the issues Alaskans truly care about and force massive personal debt on her and her family. I joined with fellow Alaskans in forming the Alaska Fund Trust to help alleviate the Governor's legal debt incurred while performing her job as well as eliminate the incentive for future attacks by her opponents. In doing so, we have created one of the most restrictive and transparent legal funds in history."

If you want to donate or just check out the site - click here.

There is something about this whole thing that has been bothering me. After collecting my thoughts and doing some research, I will post my thoughts on it tomorrow.

"Official" Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund Up and Running

Supporters of Sarah Palin will announce the creation of a legal-defense fund to help her pay old legal bills against a rash of ethics complaints, most of them frivolous and suspicious.

Sarah Palin has mounted over a half a million dollars in personal legal debts

The Wall Street Journal has the story, including this quote from Kristin Cole, a Wasilla real estate agent and friend of the Governor's.

"The purpose is really to provide a legal and proper way for the governor's supporters to help her respond to these frivolous complaints that have been leveled, keeping her from being able to do her job and...really harassing her.

Donations will be capped at $150, according to materials describing the fund, and no contributions will be accepted from corporations, state contractors, state or federal lobbyists, lobbying firms or foreign nationals.

Palin backers also said all names of donors, dates and contribution amounts will be made public. Supporters say the governor wanted the fund to be more restrictive and transparent than other legal-defense funds.

The latest legal challenge to Ms. Palin came Wednesday, when an Anchorage woman filed a complaint with the state attorney general's office saying the governor violated state ethics rules by accepting outside employment through her political-action committee, and improperly benefited personally by speaking at a recent anti-abortion dinner in Indiana. Ms. Palin's chief of staff termed the recent complaints "ridiculous."

The Abortion Debate - Sarah Palin Makes It Personal

I want to call your attention to a wonderful, thought provoking op-ed piece in The Daily Collegian, Penn State University's college newspaper.

The article is written by Jessica Turnbull, a senior majoring in journalism.

She writes that Sarah Palin broke through all of the politically motivated sniping when, during a speech to a pro-lie group in Indiana, she made a very personal admission about briefly considering an abortion when test results came back when she was carrying her youngest son

Trig was born with Down syndrome when Palin was 44, and she said it was one of the hardest decisions she has ever made.

She said that, after tests showed the baby's blood had abnormalities, she considered having an abortion because no one would have known.

"Oh, dear God, I knew, I had instantly an understanding for that fleeting moment why someone would believe it could seem possible to change those circumstances," she said during her speech. "Just make it all go away and get some normalcy back in life. Just take care of it."

Her bravery in admitting her weakness to a crowd that is pro-life speaks volumes about the type of woman Palin is.

She chose to give birth to Trig at the age of 44 because she personally believes that there was no other option. Palin has been a pro-life advocate for years. Yet, many times during the abortion debate, it is easy to forget that many pro-lifers struggle with the same emotions and decisions as people who support abortion.

Many women who are pro-life have considered abortions or actually had one.

That is what makes Palin's pro-life argument so difficult to counter. It is personal argument versus a religious or moral one.

The abortion debate can become heated and personal. Yet, in an ironic twist, the personal can be lost. We lose people's humanity and struggles and paint the issue as black and white.

Palin's honesty brings humanity into the argument, which is good for both sides.

That is just part of Jessica's column. I urge you to read it by clicking here.

Won't in be a breath of fresh air to have someone like Jessica Turbull as part of the Main Stream Media? If you want to contact Jessica, he email is jlt5044@psu.edu.

Levi Johnston's Tenth "Exclusive" Interview - "Yawn"

CNN Larry King EXCLUSIVE!!!! Levi Johnston, an almost catatonic kid whose only claim to fame is that he impregnated the daughter of a very famous person, talks...again!!!

To quote Dennis miller - If my Yawn got any bigger the National Hurricane Service would have to name it.

The Levi Johnston national mumble tour continues. He's done Tyra, ABC, NBC, CBS, TruTv, Nickelodean, Home Shopping, Cable Access...and now the EXCLUSIVE on Larry King Live!

Does anyone really care anymore?

One of our favorite bloggers, Andrew Malcolm of the LA Times, has written a funny and insightful post about the dichotomy of this kid who both won't shut up and has nothing to say.

Andrew says he can scoop CNN right now by giving the Levi Johnston's answers before Larry king asks them

Hullo.

Yup.

Nope.

Not really.

And that is only the beginning of Andrew Malcolm's psychic ability. It is a great read. Click here to go to Andrew Malcolm's post in the LA Time's Top of the Ticket Blog.

Readers Want Sandra Bullock to Play Sarah Palin

It's a landslide!

The Sarah Palin Blog readers have spoken and they would like to see Sandra Bullock play Sarah Palin in the upcoming HBO movie about the 2008 presidential campaign.

With a little over 200 votes cast

Sandra Bullock, who has the looks and the acting chops, received 61 percent

Tina Fey, who probably wouldn't do it anyway, was a distant second with %28

Megan Mullaly, from Will and Grace, got - %12 of the vote

Gina Gershon who portrayed Governor Palin in an Internet spoof got %3

And Laura Dern, who received accolades for her portrayal of Katherine Harris in an HBO movie about the 2004 election, got only a handful of votes and ended up with %1.

Their were also write in votes for Catherine Zeta Jones, Mary McDonnell and Mariska Hargity from law and Order.

Of course, HBO will never pick Bullock for the reasons given in the following post.

Sarah Palin, Sandra Bullock and Perez Hilton

It seems that Sandra Bullock is the run away favorite to portray Sarah Palin in the upcoming HBO Movie on the 2008 Presidential Campaign.

Sandra Bullock is a wonderful choice and would portray Governor Palin with poise and class...which I am certain is exactly what HBO does not want.

As many of you have commented, you can expect a one dimensional caricature of Sarah Palin that comes closer to the cartoon portrayal of her by the left. The amazing speech at the Republican convention (getting the highest TV ratings for a political speech in history) will be ignored or minimized with much more time given to the Peter Jennings and Katie Couric interviews.

Laura Dern, a raging liberal, gave a comic portrayal of Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris in the HBO movie Recount. The performance had no depth, no nuance, but because it served a biased agenda, Dern was showered with Hollywood awards.

It would be nice to be pleasantly surprised by an honest portrayal, but the chances of that happening are about the same as Hillary Clinton wearing a skirt.

Miss Political Congeniality

And speaking of Sandra Bullock, I wish the character she played in Miss Congeniality was on stage when Hollywood publicity prostitute Perez Hilton used that poor woman in the Miss USA contest to advance his own political agenda. She could have pulled a gun on him and sent him shrieking to the lobby.

If you haven't seen what happened yet, here it is -

Miss California, Carrie Prejean, was the odds on favorite to win Miss USA and she was ankled for being honest to a question, completely inappropriate for a beauty pageant.

Perez Hilton is famous for his Internet Gossip site. He is also famous for being openly gay. He calls himself "The Queen of Hollywood Gossip."

The question was asked to call attention to himself and to his cause. Which begs the question, what the hell was he doing there?

This has nothing to do with how you feel about gay marriage, you could substitute immigration, abortion or any other politically charged issue. Subjects of such deep controversy have no place at a beauty pageant.

BUT, if we are to ask those questions, judge the woman not on her beliefs, but on how she handled the pressure of answering the question. On that criteria, Miss California should have won. As it is, it is widely believed that she lost because she did not answer the question that way Hollywood would have liked. forget that our President would have answered the question the same way because over 60 percent of the country is still not sold on the idea of gay marriage. So the Hollywood crowd actually have a stricter litmus test on the issue for Miss USA than for MR President.

But the story doesn't end there, because Mr. Hilton did not get the answer he wanted, and remember HE IS A JUDGE, he wen on an obscenity laced tirade -

Perez Hilton is correct, Miss Prejean did get booed, but there was more applause.

But let me get this right, if you are honest, you are a "dumb b..." Let's see, who else did that happen to for being honest?

I thought liberals were supposed to be open-minded?

Here is the classy Miss Prejean reacting to Perez Hilton calling her the "b" word and the "c" word.

So Perez Hilton can use a mysogonistic slur to react to a perceived prejudice and that's okay? Where is the feminist outrage?

Oh yeah, we found out with Sarah Palin, that the woman's movement is only for democrats and liberals. "Equal rights for woman" only applies if you vote a certain way and share liberal beliefs. If you don't, you are on your own.

As for the USA Pageant, can we please keep politics out of the pageant next year? And if not, make Pat Buchanan a judge to even things out.

Palin Speech "The First Major Event Of The 2012 Presidential Campaign"

There is a great article in the Evansville Courier Post about Sarah Palin's speech Thursday night at the Vanderburgh County Right to Life banquet in Indiana.

The article starts off with the unique perspective of Sgt. Robert Goedde, a sheriff's officer who was at Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's side throughout her 17-hour stay in Evansville.

He was astounded by the thousands who approached the Governor to ask her to run for President in 2012.

Social Conservatives are a large constituency in the Republican Party. It is difficult to win a Republican Primary without their support. There is little question that Sarah Palin is the new political star of the Social Conservatives.

I don't think many in the Main Stream Medi see that from their perches in Washington and New York, but Sgt. Goedde saw it. And so does Dr. W.R. Mack who was quoted in the article -

Dr. W.R. Mack, a political scientist at the University of Southern Indiana, called it the first major event of the 2012 presidential campaign. Mack cited Palin's criticism of Democratic President Barack Obama in Evansville on the abortion issue.

Mack said the key to understanding Palin's appeal to social conservatives — a potent constituency in Republican presidential primaries — is her perceived sincerity and strength of conviction about their issues.

"In the past, maybe they felt like they were being used (by national Republicans)," Mack said. "John McCain was kind of a fake conservative to them. But with Palin, they think, 'Here's somebody who is really going to follow through.'"

There is a strong political under current in the Republican party of people who connect with Sarah Palin. It is why she draws huge crowds and is still a target of the left.

The Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann's of the world can laugh their pavlovian, obnoxious laugh when her name is mentioned, but Sarah Palin connects with a large segment of the population unlike any other politician.

In short, Governor Palin has true believers. No one else in the Republican field can say that right now.

To read the entire article by Thomas Langhorne in the Courier Press - Click here.

And by the way, I know we all get angry when the media unfairly attacks Sarah Palin. it is the reason this blog was started in the first place. But we should also take a moment to commend reporters who give Governor Palin a fair shot. You can write to Thomas Langhorne by clicking here.

Sarah Palin Briefly Considered an Abortion

It was a very moving, very personal and honest disclosure by Sarah Palin at a Right to Life Dinner in Evansville, Indiana. She briefly considered having an abortion when she learned her son Trig was to be born with Down Syndrome.

AOL news has a very detailed report. Click here to read it.

AOL also ran several online polls. It asked if people expected Sarah Palin to run for the Republican nomination in 2012. Over 300 thousand people have voted and 61 percent say YES.

AOL also asked if people were surprised that Sarah Palin even momentarily considered an abortion. Over 200 thousand voted and a resounding 86 percent said No they were not surprised.

Then AOL asked if readers what the thought Sarah Palin's chances will be in 2012. Over 300 thousand voted an 49 percent said poor. 51 percent said either fair, good or excellent, with only 11 percent saying excellent.

And finally, AOL asked if the revelation about considering the abortion would help her chances, hurt her chances or not matter at all. Seventy-one percent said it wouldn't matter.

Headline on Sarah Palin Speech in indiana

This is the story the Associated Press is sending out on Sarah Palin's speech 5,000 people at a Right to Life banquet in Indiana. -

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is taking President Barack Obama to task for his support of abortion rights and embryonic stem-cell research.

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, criticized Obama's positions during a speech at the Vanderburgh County Right to Life's annual dinner Thursday night in Evansville, Ind.

She says deciding when babies get human rights isn't above her pay grade — a reference to Obama's response to a question from the Rev. Rick Warren last year. Obama said such questions were above his pay grade.

Thursday's appearance was Palin's first out-of-state trip on a partisan agenda since the presidential campaign ended. Some Alaska lawmakers have criticized her decision to make the trip as the state Legislature approaches its Sunday deadline.

Palin Nearing Double Sellout in indiana

Sarah Palin nearing a double sellout in Indiana.

The Vanderburgh County Right to Life reports announced last week that they sold all of the over 2,000 tickets available for the Sarah Palin speech at the Convention Center tomorrow night.

That made a lot of people who wanted to hear Sarah speak upset, so the group booked a nearby auditorium for a live feed of the speech on a giant screen.

Only a few hundred tickets are left of the 2,500 that went on sale for that auditorium and the group is expecting the Governor to sellout again by tomorrow night's speech.

Meantime, The Defenders of Wildlife, attracted by the Palin buzz in Indiana, have bought airtime on the local Fox affiliate. They will run several ads, including one at 7Pm when Sarah Palin is expected to take the stage.

The group has been attacking the Alaskan Governor for endorsing the practice of aerial wolf hunting to protect the population of Moose and Caribou.

That same Fox station did a wonderful story today as a prelude to the visit of Governor Palin.

Sarah Palin will speak at the Right to Life banquet tomorrow night, but Friday she is meeting with a group called SMILE, a group supporting families with children who have Down Syndrome.

Poll: Who Will Be Cast As Sarah Palin in HBO Movie?

HBO is making a movie about the 2008 presidential campaign based on the book written by political writers Mark Halperin and John Heilman. the book is due out next year.

And it seems that no one really cares who plays Barack Obama, John McCain or Joe Biden. The big question in the media is who will play Sarah Palin?

Salon and Entertainment Weekly asked their readers and have come up with some great suggestions. Here are some of the readers suggestions on Salon.Com - click here. And click here for some of the suggestions to EntertainmntWeekly.com

Megan Mulally, Hilary Swank, Sandra Bullock and Felicity Huffman and, of course Tina fey for Sarah Palin

But before you say, "Of course, Tin Fey," remember this is a dramatic role and Tina Fey would probably turn it down.

Laura Linney, Glenn Close and Meryl Streep were the suggestions for Hillary.

Please leave comments as to who you think should play Sarah Palin and vote in the poll to the right.

Sarah Palin's pick for Attorney General think's "She Looks Good."

Wayne Anthony Ross is Sarah Palin's controversial pick for Attorney General. His confirmation hearings are taking place and, well, I'll let you form your own opinion from this Anchorage news report.

"She looked good, didn't she."

"Yes, well, no.

Is this a confirmation hearing or the boy's locker room.

Ross has come under fire for homophobic remarks he has made in the past. AOL news has more on that - click here.

From listening to the news report, I have another concern. Is that really the way this guy talks. He mumbles more than Levi Johnston.

Alaska politics. Gotta love it.

Sarah Palin And The Wolves

Newsweek.Com did a great job in a web exclusive explaining the complexities of Aerial Wolf Hunting in Alaska.

As you know, animal rights groups, democrats and the left have used the issue to demonize Governor Sarah Palin.

Ashley Judd attracted a lot of publicity for herself and a lot of money for a group called "Defenders of the Wildlife" with an Internet video that attacked Sarah Palin.

The video has the typical scary music with graphic images of wolves being gunned down by gunmen in low-flying propeller planes. Ashley Judd sums it up by saying, "It is time to stop Sarah Palin."

She also makes the claim that the aerial hunting flies in the face of science and that makes the state's deputy Fish and Game Commissioner angry.

Here is what Patrick Valkenburg told Newsweek about the video -

"Absolute baloney. It seems that people who don't like Palin are using this as a way to attack her, and raise money. And the people who don't like the predator-control program are using Palin as a way to attack it. These are people who have never even been to Alaska. It's absolutely absurd."

Valkenberg goes on to say that the predator-control program is required by a law enacted before the current governor was elected. Says Valkenberg, "why not produce food locally instead of importing food? We have a naturally functioning ecosystem that you can manage to produce food locally. Why not do that? Why not think globally and act locally?"

I don't pretend to understand the issue of predator control or even hunting. But I do eat meat and do not want to be a hypocrite about the issue. I just didn't grow up around hunters. In the city we only see the horros of gun use, not the benefits.

But Sarah Palin did grow up around hunters. Her father fed his family by hunting. He taught his children how to hunt and feed their families.

Newsweek.Com did a nice job of also seeing the issue from that perspective. To read the article click here. kudos to Amanda Coyne for a thoughtful article that carefully looks at both sides of a complex issue.

Sarah Palin's Speaking - Better Get Some Extra Seats

Vanderburgh County Right to Life dinner in Indiana has never seen anything like this.

The 2,180 tickets for the April 16 annual dinner at the Evansville Convention Center are already sold out. And the demand is so great for tickets that they have added another 2,500 seats in an adjacent auditorium where followers can watch a live feed.

The group has had some big name speakers in the past. This is the first time they had to do anything like this.

The new tickets are going fast. The group tells me they have now sold a thousand and expected a second sell out well in advance of the event.

That means Sarah Palin will have sold out - twice! Quick, somebody find another auditorium.
What is the big draw? Sarah Palin is coming to town.

She is the biggest draw in the GOP, a party that lot Indiana in the last election. It is not official, but consider this the first "unofficial" campaign rally for 2012.

Click here to go to the Vanderburgh County Right to life site. And click here for this morning's article in the Fort Mills Times.

Can't Imagine Sarah Palin or John McCain Bowing to A Saudi King

Okay this is getting too funny to ignore.

Look at the reaction of everyone in the picture to the left. They can't believe it's happening either. It's like they are thinking, "Is this guy bowing? What, is he new?"

Last week when President Barack Obama met King Adullah of Saudi Arabia, he clearly bowed to the King. It is a common sign of respect to the King in Saudi Arabia, but for a U.S. President, the leader of the free world, that is a big no no.
Was it a big deal? Not really, except that the Obama people keep lying about it.

First, staff travelling with the President said he wasn't bowing, he was picking something off the floor.

Many who were there quickly pointed out that...um...no he wasn't.

At Today's White House briefing, Dan Lothian of CNN asked White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs

LOTHIAN: When the President met with King Abdullah, there was something that took place which I believe the White House explained was just the president being taller than the king. We took a look at the video, and it does appear that the president actually bowed to King Abdullah. Did he bow or didn't he?

GIBBS: No, I think he bent over with both, to shake -- with both hands to shake his hand, so I don't--

LOTHIAN: -- one hand --

GIBBS: Well I... [laughter]

LOTHIAN: Did he bow or didn't he?

GIBBS: No. But I think this meeting was like a week ago, right?

LOTHIAN: That's right but this is something a lot of people are talking about today.

GIBBS: I can only imagine it is of great cause and concern for many people struggling with the economy.

Here is the CNN report -

This comes after White House "sources" were furiously telling Washington reporters yesterday that Obama did not bow. The excuse, "He is taller than the King so he bent down."

They emphasized, "He didn't bow."

Whew, because if he DID bow that would have ended years of Presidential protocol that an American President does not bow to royalty of any nation.

Here is a good shot of President Obama not bowing.

Okay, okay, forget what you saw, the White House insists that he did Not bow.

Of course, as Ben Smith reports for Politico, the Arab media thought he bowed and they loved it. Click here to read his article and see more video.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee is using the NOT bow in its fundraising -

"Symbolism and leadership are critical in matters of world affairs. So it's stunning that just hours after he apologized to a European audience last week, and said America has been "arrogant" and "dismissive," President Obama paid fealty to Saudi King Abdullah by bowing to him at the G-20 Summit in London.

In both instances, it's becoming increasingly apparent that our new President would rather be accepted and befriended by his new friends abroad, than preserve America's reputation and leadership as the world's pre-eminent superpower.

In a stunning twist of irony, Saudi Arabia stands to grow even richer under this Administration, as our oil dollars continue to flow to the Middle East because of President Obama's staunch opposition to increasing domestic oil production here at home."

Fox News is having a field day with this. Take a look:

It is never the crime. it is the cover up that gets you in trouble.

In other words, next time you have the urge to bow Mr. President, just say you bowed. Then its a one day story instead of a one week story.

Rush Limbaugh Names Sarah Palin As A Favorite for 2012

On Fox News Neil Cavuto asks Rush Limbaugh who he sees as the up and comers in the Republican party looking ahead to 2012.

Rush names just two names. Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina and Sarah Palin.

Says Rush, "I have always admired Governor Palin. I don't think people have any idea what it's like to walk in her shoes, after what she has been through with the media coverage. But she doesn't back down."

Here is the YouTube video. The question is near the end at the 8:20 mark.

It is way too early in the process, but it seems as if the name Sarah Palin is always mentioned as the top one or two Republican candidate for 2012 by both big named Republicans and media talking heads.

How Low Can Sarah Palin Bashing Go?

The debase, ugly attacks on Sarah Palin and her family is like nothing we have experienced in the history of this country.

Many of the attacks have nothing to do with politics or her core beliefs. They are very personal attacks and caricatures meant to defame and defile her image. These attacks are obsessive and misogynistic and seem to take root in something much deeper than simply political partisanship.

She is debased for her looks. She is derided for being a Mom. Many of the ugliest attacks seem rooted in the simple fact that she is a woman.

From the moment Sarah Palin hit the national scene she was sexually minimized with nude photoshop pictures on the Internet. That was followed with a porn movie starring a Palin impersonator. And this week Eminem released a video with Sarah Palin as a sex object.

Equally as ugly as the minimization of her as a sex object is the attacks on Motherhood in the form of Sarah Palin. The Internet is filled with video and cartoon parodies starring Sarah Palin either having babies or holding babies, as if there was something low rent about Motherhood itself. Sarah Palin's love of her children is seen as political theater in the twisted perception of some. And Palin's children themselves are attacked as a way of proving that Sarah Palin is a bad mother.

Nothing like this has ever happened in politics. These attacks have hit a new low and there is truly something wrong with the people who are leveling them.

Which brings us to a website called Palin's deceptions. The Palin stalker who writes this blog has been compiling messages left on Bristol Palin's MySpace page going back to 2005 when she was 14.

On the site they are divulging these messages as a way of embarrassing a teenage girl and her mother.

This is the lowest of the low. It is sick, ugly and some action should be taken against the people who run the blog.

I was encouraged to read comments of absolute revulsion in response to the blog's MySpace posts, even by those who don't necessarily like Sarah Palin but think this went way too far.

I feel for Sarah Palin and her family that they have to put up with this trash. It is encouraging to see good people of all political leanings rise up to say "enough is enough."

The SarahPac Tries To Quash The "Unofficial" Legal Defense Fund

Oh My!

The people at SarahPac are now working hard to stop a private citizen and Sarah Palin supporter from raising money for her defense.

In just a few days the "official" Sarah Palin Legal Defense Fund was to be unveiled. Or as a spokesperson told me on April 5, "A legal defense fund should be up and running soon so keep your eyes out. I don't have the details to reveal now. The fund is a grassroots effort led by Alaskans, and many Alaskans and Americans have contacted us to inquire how they can assist."

But a similar "grassroots effort" led by a Texan beat her to it.

Clayton Paslay, a Texas businessman, did everything right. He contacted Sarah Palin's attorney, he filed all of the proper papers with the federal government and he announced his Sarah Palin Defense Fund yesterday with a new website.

This is what a spokesperson from the SarahPac told me about the fund yesterday -

"It is legal. It's just not the official one. Please tell people that the official one is soon to come. Again, we do not know that donors will comply with our terms and guidelines which are very strict - we may end up needing to contact every single donor to ask the questions that we will be asking. However, we appreciate any and all assistance! Thank you."

Today that same spokesperson is telling the Associated Press and other media outlets that it is not a legal defense fund and Sarah Palin can't accept the money.

Here is the statement from Meghan Stapleton of SarahPac:

"The continuing generosity of Alaskans and Americans is overwhelming as many reach out to assist Governor Sarah Palin and her family with their legal bills.

However, the official legal defense fund for Governor Sarah Palin has not been formed and the Governor cannot accept monies for those obligations from any other entity than the one in formation. Numerous federal and state laws to need to be abided by and the official legal defense fund will have very strict donation guidelines.

We thank everyone interested in helping the Governor. The best way to assist her will be through this official fund which will launch later this month."

Meghan Stapleton
Palin Family Spokesperson

Poor Clayton Paslay, a good man who is just trying to do the right things and gets caught in a buzz saw. Clayton never intended to give the money to Sarah Palin. He wanted to pay the attorney directly, for tax reasons.

The thing that surprises Mr. Paslay the most is that no one from SarahPac ever contacted him. When he tried to contact someone from SarahPac, they wouldn't respond.

Paslay tells me he did get a call from an attorney who identified himself as being in the "Sarah Palin camp" who insisted he take the site down. But since there was no way of confirming that the attorney was really affiliated with Sarah Palin, Clayton said "thanks, but no thanks."

Sarah Palin's personal attorney, Thomas Van Flein, told Clayton Paslay today that a trust fund will be set up in Alaska for the "official" defense fund and Palsay said, "Fine. I'll just send the money I collect to the trust fund." The response was - "we'll get back to you on that."

So now Clayton Paslay is in limbo, but he is not taking his site down. "I will work things out with SarahPac." Paslay says. "But as of right now, no one has contacted me from that orginization."

It is starting to feel like the SarahPac wants to quash this poor guys efforts for for all of the wrong reasons.

I hope it all works out for Clayton Paslay, whose heart was in the right place, but when it comes to politics and money - that's not good enough sometimes.

Says Clayton, "I still support Sarah Palin though. I think she is getting a raw deal and want to help."

And now it looks like Clayton Paslay is getting a raw deal too.

*****UPDATE***** Meghan Stapleton and Clayton Paslay have finall talked but nothing really was resolved. Clayton is keeping his site up ad will be on MSNBC tomorrow at 9:15. In the meantime, Thomas Van Flein has sent an email to Paslay saying he can't use Sarah Palin's likeness for his site. Is this really happening?

Some in Main Stream Media Now Picking Up The Sarah Palin Defense Fund Story

National Review - 12:27PM

Houston Chronicle - 1:17PM

CNN - 1:23PM

The Main Stream Media Ignores The Sarah Palin Defense Fund

Even though I am keenly aware of the Main Stream Media's bias against Sarah Palin, some things still amaze me.

I have written here several times about the different faces of media bias. It can be very subtle, the quotes that are chosen, the words that are used or the way the piece is constructed. It can also be more blatant. You write about the bad events and ignore the good ones.

The MSM was all over the ethics complaints against Sarah Palin. It did not matter how frivolous the complaint, it got coverage. The media was all too happy to point out Sarah Palin's mounting legal bills and the fact that she may need help.

But now that a concerned citizen has stepped up and put his name and reputation in sites of the anti-Palin forces to start a legal defense fund. Crickets. You hear nothing from the media who loves to get Palin's name in every story.

In the past week they went with stories about Levi Johnston's big mouth, Sarah Palin's half-sister in law getting arrested and the "ethics violation" of Sarah Palin wearing a team jacket to support her husband in the Iron Dog snowmobile race.

Apparently they were all "big" stories that got bold headlines and were covered by hundreds of media outlets. The key to all of those stories is that they were negative in nature.

This positive story about Sarah Palin's legal defense fund is ignored. What amazes me is that they ignore the story against their own self-interest. It has been well established that a Palin story and Palin pictures drives sales, hits and viewers.

The one entity that should not ignore this story is Fox News and Bill O'Rielly. I got an email from Clayton Paslay, the organizer of The Sarah Palin Defense Fund who said that money was already coming in because of this blog. He then went on to say -

"Now for a little blog help.... Bill O'Reilly on fox news said he would support Sarah's legal fees if someone would put this up.... Is it possible to get the Bloging Community to flood his email Oreilly@foxnews.com with a simple message... www.SarahPalinsDefenseFund.com is up and we look forward to your donation and help with promoting it. (Remember he promised to do this.)

Cheers and Thanks For Your Help
Clayton D Palsay"

Here is proof of the O'Reilly promise -

So Bill, a Legal defense fund is up and running. Both Sarah Palin's lawyer and her spokesperson have confirmed its legitimacy.

So are you going to keep your word? We'll be watching.

*****UPDATE***** Of all places, the very liberal Huffington Post did a wonderful job of reporting on the new Defense Fund. Sam Stein, who wrote the article for the HP, was fair and accurate. Read his post by clicking here.

A Sarah Palin Defense Fund Is Up And Running

A defense fund to help Sarah Palin pay her mounting legal bills is now up on the web and operational.

Click here to go to the site. If you click on the donate button it will take you to FreeAmericanCitizens.org, a non-affiliated PAC. The legal defense fund is run by the organizer of the PAC.

According to the organizer, the defense money raised will go directly to Thomas Van Flein, Governor Palin's private attorney. Governor Palin owes over 500 thousand dollars in legal bills as she fights a series of ethics complaints filed by Democratic Operatives working in Alaska. The bills are expected to go much higher.

Clayton Paslay, a businessman who splits his time between Texas and Southern California, set up the fund. (Seen in the picture to the right with his wife Inge.)

Clayton tells me that he has never met the Governor, but set up the fund because he wants her "to get a fair shake." He also told me that he hopes Sarah Palin runs for President in 2012 because "We need someone to clean up Washington. Someone with grit like Governor Palin."

Mr. Paslay says he filed all the federal election legal papers for the special fund and spoke with Governor Palin's attorney. I called Mr. Van Flein's office and they confirmed that the fund is legitimate.

Paslay expects enemies of Sarah Palin to come after him. Paslay said, "I told Sarah Palin's attorney that I may need him too."

A friend of the Governor told me that another fund is being set up and that will be the official Sarah Palin Defense Fund.

To read more about the frivolous ethics complaint filed against Sarah Palin, click here for my previous postings.

****UPDATE**** I received this email from a spokesperson for the Governor about the Free American Citizens' defense fund for Sarah Palin:

It is legal. It's just not the official one. Please tell people that the official one is soon to come. Again, we do not know that donors will comply with our terms and guidelines which are very strict - we may end up needing to contact every single donor to ask the questions that we will be asking. However, we appreciate any and all assistance! Thank you.

****ANOTHER UPDATE**** After reading the post Clayton Paslay wanted to assure everyone that every donation will be tracked and accounted for. He and his staff will be meticulous with the accounting because, as he says, "I know there is somebody out there waiting to shoot me down."

Again, just to be clear. Sarah Palin's attorney has given his assurance that this fund is legal and legitimate. So, if you give to this fund or the "official" one still to be set up, the money is all going to the same place - to pay for Sarah Palin's legal bills.

Sarah Palin a Pop Icon

Three off beat stories caught my eye this morning and emphasized what we already know. Sarah Palin has become more that a Governor, a politician or a 2012 Presidential contender she is a pop icon.

Eminem has a new video out about celebrities and rock stars. He makes reference to Jessica Simpson, Brittany Spears, Lindsay Lohan...and Sarah Palin...among others. It is lewd and misogynistic...it's Eminem! But, the point is that Sarah Palin has risen to that level of fame. MTV.Com has the story and the video. Click here.

Also, there are several comic books out starring Sarah Palin. The Anchorage Daily News reports on a comic called Female Force. Click here to read the story.

And London's Evening Standard features a story about a comic book starring Barack Obama as "Barack the Barbarian." Guess who does battle with him? Sarah Palin, of course. Click here for the story.

Maybe the comic book battle is just a prelude to the real battle coming in 2012.
The pop culture homage to Palin's popularity is harmless, but for this fact. The comic book picture of Palin as a sex symbol and the fact that Eminem hire a porn actress to play Sarah Palin in his video illuminates a serious social problem that attractive women have in politics and in the workplace males will always debase attractive women as sex objects and not take them seriously as a result.

There have been studies on this social phenomena and I have written about it several times on this blog. Click here to see the last posting on the topic.

It is easier for both men and women to discount attractive women as dumb and unqualified. Men do it to make attractive women less intimidating. Women do it out of jealousy. It is just another hurdle the Sarah Palin has to clear. And if she does, it's another social barrier that she will knock down for other women.

CBS Seems Bummed That Sarah Palin Is Still Popular

The Headline should have read, "Despite All We Have Done To Ruin Her - Sarah Palin Is Still Popular."

The Real Headline on CBS.Com was almost as bad, "Palin Popularity High Despite Latest News."

The article is worse. It is written based on a story that aired on the CBS Morning Show (so at least nobody saw it).

A recent poll shows that Sarah Palin's popularity is over 60 percent in Alaska. A high water mark most Governor's would die for.

But the article lists a bevy of tawdry stories that Sarah Palin herself has no control over - Levi Johnston on Tyra Bank's show - her husband's half sister getting arrested - John McCain's reluctance to commit to a 2012 candidate.

So where is the poll? The very last line of the story.

And the quote from the pollster is, of course, negative.
Bias is shown in subtle ways. This latest article by CBS is dripping with it.

It has been like this at CBS for years. It is so bad that one of their own coorespondents wrote a book about the liberal bias that infests the building at West 57the Street in Mahattan.

It got even worse after they fired Barnard Goldberg for having the guts to write the book. They replaced the liberal and biased Dan Rather with the even more liberal and more biased Katie Couric. And, believe me, it was no easy task to find someone to the left of Dan.

It is no wonder network news is dying a slow death and CBS is in a deep last place. I know, I know, the Democrats claimed Katie Couric had "renewed popularity" after the hatchet job on Sarah Palin. They don't mention that she is still way behind ABC and NBC in the ratings.

I don't want to send you to the CBS website. It will just encourage them to write more BS like this (after all its part of their name.) So here is the unedited article:

Palin Popularity High Despite Latest News
Hovering At 60 Percent At Home; Negative News On Extended Family, Acquaintances Not Hurting Her
WASILLA, Alaska, April 6, 2009

(CBS) Sarah Palin insists she's been focusing on one thing -- governing Alaska -- since the presidential election.

But, observes Early Show national correspondent Hattie Kauffman, it's been hard to ignore the negative headlines swirling around her extended family and acquaintances in recent weeks.

Eyebrows were raised when Levi Johnston, the ex-fiancé of Palin's daughter, Bristol, and father of their son, Tripp, told Tyra Banks on Banks' talk show he's "pretty sure" the Alaska governor knew he and Bristol were having sex.

Johnston also admitted, after some prodding by Banks, that he and Bristol only practiced safe sex "most of the time."

He also claims Bristol has been refusing to let him take their baby, Tripp, out alone, a charge flatly denied by the Palin family. A spokesperson calls the claims "flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."

Bristol herself told Fox News abstinence "isn't realistic" for teens.

Word came last month that Bristol and Johnston had broken up.

Another piece of negative news hitting close to home involved the recent arrest on felony burglary charges in Palin's hometown of Wasilla, Alaska of her sister-in-law.

Ted Turcott told Kauffman he was home alone when he heard a stranger enter his home. So he hid in the bathroom with a gun.

"I said, 'Lady, you're in big trouble," ' Turcott recalled for Kauffman. "I kept telling her to sit down and she didn't listen. She was the coolest woman you've ever seen in your life."

Add to the personal drama a political hit from former running mate John McCain, who hedged on endorsing her for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination when given the chance on "Meet he Press" last month, saying he'd "have to see who the candidates are and what the situation is at the time."

Back in December, Levi Johnston's mother was hit with six felony drug charges in Alaska.

So, is all this airing of Palin-related real and alleged dirty laundry drown out her political message?

Pollster Ivan Moore told Kauffman Palin "brought this all on herself by making her kids an issue last year."

But, adds Kauffman, Palins' approval rating is over 60 percent in Alaska, so she's hardly out in the cold among her home state's voters.

Is Palin Going DeGaulle

Readers I call your attention to another blog, "The Aged P." The latest entry sarts like this:

The one thing that Gov Palin has not been short of since the election has been advice from Republicans and the media – stand for governor again in 2010, go for the Senate, go for POTUS 2012, wait until 2016, write a book, go into the media, give up politics and concentrate on her family – the options are endless. As an outside observer, however, it strikes me that she is intelligent enough and shrewd enough to make up her own mind. I think that maybe she has already decided on a course – I believe she is going de Gaulle.

To find out what going de Gaulle means click here.

Sarah Palin Defense Fund Will Be Up And Running Soon

I have received several Inquiries about The Sarah Palin Defense Fund. A spokesperson for the Governor gave me the following information on it:

A legal defense fund should be up and running soon so keep your eyes out. I don't have the details to reveal now.

The fund is a grassroots effort led by Alaskans, and many Alaskans and Americans have contacted us to inquire how they can assist. We cannot thank you enough!!

Since her rise to national prominence, Governor Palin has been the subject of an onslaught of frivolous ethics complains by Democratic operatives. She now owes more than a half million dollars to an Anchorage law firm.

Make no mistake about it. These silly filings are so her Democratic opponents can say "Governor Palin has been the subject of ten ethics complaints." It is just plain dirty politics. They know the Governor was elected to fight corruption and this is an underhanded way to attack he squeaky clean image. It is the same way they used the silly wardrobe story to under cut her "just an average hockey Mom" image. Notice they never investigated how much the campaigns spent on Barack Obama or john McCain's suits.

Recently the Governor fired back calling the ethics complaints partisan, false and frivolous, starting with "the politically motivated Troopergate probe." She said the legal bills all stem from her actions as governor.

Even though the complaints are all based on her actions as Governor, she must use her own money to defend herself. She makes $125,000 a year. The legal bills are four times that amount.

Palin wrote in a statement:

"On August 29, it seems the political landscape changed in Alaska. Now, it seems in order to do this job as Governor, with the political blood sport some are playing today, only the independently wealthy or those willing to spend their income on legal fees to defend their official actions in office ... can serve," Palin said in the written response to Daily News questions.

The debt is owed to the Alaska law firm Clapp, Peterson, Van Flein, Tiemessen & Thorsness, according to her financial disclosure.

To give you an idea of how silly the ethics filings have been, one was filed under the name of a soap opera character. Another concerned the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute using her photograph to promote seafood.

In all there have been 10 complaints and six have been dismissed. But each one has to be defended and each one costs money. Money the Governor doesn't have.

The latest and silliest of the complaints was filed Linda Kellen Biegel, a Democrat who blogs under the name "Celtic Diva." You can visit her blog and tell he what you think of her by clicking here.

It alleges a conflict of interest because Sarah Palin wore a sponsored jacket at the finish line of the Iron Dog Snowmachine race. It was the jacket worn by all members of her husband Todd's racing team. She was obviously wearing it to support Todd and not because of the "Arctic Cat" logo that was on it.

Click here for my earlier post on the "Celtic Diva's" filing.

The governor called the latest complaint "another frivolous ethics charge" by a political blogger. "This would be hilarious if it weren't so expensive for the state to process these accusations and for me to defend against these bogus harassments.

Palin's husband, Todd, is sponsored by Arctic Cat in the Iron Dog, the world's longest snowmobile race.

Palin calls the complaint "asinine political grandstanding" by a blogger.

"Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today, I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie," Palin said in Tuesday's release. "I am a walking billboard for the team's fundraiser! Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these?"

Lisa Demer has more details in the Anchorage Daily News. Click here.

An Glenn Beck attacked the frivolous ethics complaints on Fox News -

By the way, several of the Inquiries about the Sarah Palin defense Fund came to me on the new Sarah Palin Blog Twitter account. Please Follow the Blog on Twitter by clicking here.

AP Stands for Anti-Palin

What is going on with the Associated Press?

Once the pinnacle of objective journalism, the Associated Press has joined Keith Olberman and most of the New York times staff in becoming Democratic Operatives.

Time and time again the AP has proven itself to have an anti-Palin bias.

The latest slight to Sarah was uncovered by Newsbusters.Com, a web site that does a great job at sniffing out media bias.

One of Newsbusters favorite targets, because she is so sloppy in her reporting, is Anne Sutton. Or as Newsbusters describes her, "an AP writer that is renown for her hit pieces on Governor Palin and her family."

Let's start with the title of her latest article - "Sarah Palin's Bad Week."

Even though there is little evidence that Palin had a bad week (and this is before the Levi Johnston interview), Sutton needs an "expert" to make her point for her. After all, an objective TV reporter can't be THAT obvious with her bias. Anne has to find others to make the points she wants to make and that person is dubbed "expert."

The expert in this case is Ross Baker. He seems like a decent source at first glance. he is a political science professor at Rutgers University, a fine college in New Jersey.

The premise here is that if if Sarah Palin wants to run for office in 2012, she had better do a great job at running Alaska. The "expert" thinks she's not doing very well in Alaska.

“She just hasn't been very good at juggling her state responsibilities versus her new national image.”

Man an unbiased expert said that? Um no, actually a political hack that Anne Sutton hid behind the word "expert" is saying that. Anne just didn't think it was important to divulge this Democratic Operative's long and partisan resume. Then you may not have taken him seriously.

Newsbusters discovered that Professor Baker served on the staffs of Senators Walter F. Mondale, Birch Bayh, and Frank Church, and as a consultant to the Democratic Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2000, he served as a senior adviser to Senator Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) and Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vermont).

The editors at the Associated Press might want to have a talk with Ms. Sutton. In fact, it might be a good idea to keep her from future Palin stories/

Finally, these media hit pieces, ridiculous ethics complaints and Internet character attacks seemed to have increased since the election.

You have to ask yourself why and who is behind it. Who does Sarah Palin threaten so much that they have to constantly attack and demean her?

David Axelrod, are your ears burning?

The only Republican who has connected with a large group of Americans is Sarah Palin. The power of her name is concerning for those on the other side who are already looking towards 2012.

If you've never visited Newsbusters, do yourself a favor and click here.

Another Sign Of MSNBC Bias Against Sarah Palin

Keith Olberman and Chris Matthews are obvious. The constantly berate and belittle Sarah Palin.

As I pointed out in previous posts, Nora O'Donnell and David Shuster also are drinking the MSNBC Koolaid when it comes to Sarah Palin.

But the bias is pervasive and subtle. Watch this clip -

Alex Witt: "Let's talk about Levi Johnson, who says that despite preaching abstinence, Alaksa Governor Sarag Palin knew what was going on between him and Bristol Palin."

What!?!?!

That is NOT what he said. He said he THINKS she knew. That is a huge difference.

The web site Hollywood Grind has more on the interview. Including these tid bits:

- Levi talked about Bristol's mood swings implying that was behind the breakup.

- He is not allowed to take baby Tripp anywhere, but he can see him only with Bristol or her parents present (those visits will be uncomfortable now.)

- Levi's Mom and sister are also on the show and talked about the gag order that was placed on them by the McCain campaign.

- Finally, the site says that Bristol is not dating but is texting and catting with a boyfriend she had in High school before Levi.

Mama Polar Bear Sarah Palin Fires Back

Sarah Palin once said that when someone attacks her children "Mama Polar Bear" comes out.

Well she is out and ready to rip apart the father of her grandson.

In an TV show to air Monday April 6, 18 year old Levi Johnston mumbles through an exclusive interview with Tyra Banks, an interview he got paid to do. He divulges way to much information about his relationship with Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol. (Click here for post from yesterday)

Johnston says, among other things, that Sarah Palin probably knew that he and Bristol were having sex in the house and that he and Bristol practiced safe sex "most of the time."

Mamma Polar Bear was quick to react.

In a statement released to People.Com, Sarah Palin attacks Johnston:

"Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show. We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."

"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," the statement continues. "It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child."
The statement ends, saying, "Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions."

Bristol and Levi had plans to get married, but split up earlier this year. Somehow I don't think those two are getting back together now.

The Tyra Banks was taped Friday and will air on Monday, April 6.

And Sarah Palin Can't Catch a break

Another family member has been arrested. Diana Palin, the half sister of Palin's husband Todd, is accused of breaking into her neighbors home in Wasilla, Alaska, to steal money, not oncebut twice. The neighbor caught her hiding in the bathroom with a gun, her four year old daughter was waiting in the car. The Associated Press reports that 35 year old Diana Palin is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor criminal trespass and theft.

And you thought you had in-law problems. Sarah Palin has out-laws.

Corrupt Congressman Takes Pot Shot At Palin

You would think Don Young would just try to keep out of the public eye as much as possible.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Young is under criminal investigation and is one of the most corrupt members of Congress according to Citizens for Responsible Government In Washington.

Yep, he's a real winner.

Young is part of the corrupt good ol' boy network in Alaska that Sarah Palin took on. Palin backed another candidate who ran against Young in the Republican primary. And when Young won the primary, Palin refused to endorse him in 2008.

Young has never forgot it and so he shot a weak political spitball back at Sarah Palin by suggesting that former Senator Ted Stevens run against Palin for Governor, now that he corruption case against Palin has been dropped.

"Personally I'd like to see him run for governor, and that's my personal feeling," Young told the Alaska Public Radio. "So, we'll see what happens down the line. He probably won't, but I think that would be a great way to cap off a great career as being the governor of the state of Alaska."

This comes after Sarah joined Alaskan GOP chairman Randy Ruedrich in calling for Democratic Sen. Mark Begich to step down and partake in a special election against Stevens.

In 2008, Begich defeated Stevens after a recount of the votes by a razor thin margin. Palin agrees with Ruedich that the felony conviction of Stevens led to his election downfall. was mishandled and has decided not to pursue a retrial.

Young says that the idea is just "a lot of noise."

Funny, "a lot of noise" is exactly what I was thinking when I heard that Congressman Young was suggesting that the 86 year old Stevens run for Governor. It was Young's feeble attempt to get back at Palin.

Sarah need not respond to Young. Her future holds a decision to run for President. His future holds a decision to run from criminal charges.

Click here to read about the Young criminal investigation at Talking Point Memo.

And click here to read The Citizen's For Responsible government in Washington or CREW's write up on Mr. Young.

Bristol Palin's Ex Can't Talk And He Can't Shut Up

From the Tyra Banks Show Web Site:
For the first time, Levi Johnston, the former fiancé of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, breaks his silence and sits down exclusively with the 'Tyra Show.'
Levi talks about his relationship with Bristol, what it was like to be thrust into the spotlight at the Republican National Convention, and why his engagement with Bristol Palin ended. Levi shares intimate details about his relationship with Bristol, what he really thinks of Gov. Palin and what it's like to be a teen father.

Tune in to the "Tyra Show" on Monday, April 6th for the full interview with Levi and his mother and sister.

How intimate are the details? Too intimate if you ask me. Johnston tells Tyra that he and Bristol practiced safe sex "most of the time." They have a clip on the Tyra Banks Show website Click here to see it.

And the New York Daily News Ran with the story that Sarah Palin knew the her daughter Bristol and Levi Johnston were having sex, even though Levi never said that. he was just guessing that she knew, "I'm pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart." Click here to read the Daily News article.

And here is the CelebTV report:

By the way, could this kid have any less personality. I can't imagine watching an entire show with Mr. Comatose him, after a one minute clip I was done with him. Isn't the 15 minutes up for mumbles?

Support Angie Harmon

She is smart, beautiful, talented and not afraid to stand up for her beliefs!

Angie Harmon is an endangered species - A Republican in Hollywood.

Recently Harmon has been blasted by Hollywood, Liberal and the Media for supporting Sarah Palin and for not supporting Barack Obama.

In her latest interview with Fox News, she also know that she has lost work because of her beliefs:

"It's not like anyone has come up to my face and been like ‘I'm not hiring you because you're a Republican!’ But the media is so liberal and I get it, but I’m just confused on where we lost the respect for our fellow Americans. Not all of us are supposed to believe the same things and think the same way," she added. "I think the difference between the parties is, with the Democrats you can sit down with them and have a 15 minute conversation and if you’re not believing everything they say and buying into what they’re selling you, it is like you’re some dumb hick who doesn't deserve to live here anymore. But with the Republicans, it is like okay I want to know what you know, you want to know what I know, okay great lets go have a beer after work, we're still friends. I’m just confused as to where we lost that in America because it is everyone’s God-given right to think the way they think and that's fine. That's why our ancestors came here to America, to believe what they want, pray how they want and follow a religion with whoever they want."

That quote is from Part Two of the exclusive interview with Angie Harmon on the Entertainment Blog of the Fox News Website. The Blog is called Pop Tarts and you can read it by clicking here. Angie also defends Bristol Palin in Part Two so check it out.

In Part On of the Exclusive Interview, Harmon said "I'm not a racist for disagreeing with Obama." And she talked about how much she admires Sarah Palin:

"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me."

You can check out the entire Part One of the Angie Harmon interview by clicking here.

I have always thought Angie Harmon is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and a very talented actress.

Now I love her. She is strong enough not to hide here beliefs from those who walk lock step in liberalism in LaLa Land.

Please support every project that Angie Harmon takes part in. If she is in a move, go see it. If she is on TV, watch. We need to let Hollywood that Angie Harmon has a loyal following, not only because she is a wonderful actress, but because she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.

I'll leave you with a PSA that Angie Harmon did encouraging woman to vote. Sarah Palin is you are reading this, I think you should contact Angie Harmon. You won't find a better advocate.

Palin Power

Interesting post by Michael van der Galien on the PoliGazette about the power of Sarah Palin.

He noticed that on the Hot Air site. He noticed that there is always a picture of Sarah Palin. It doesn't matter if the story has anything to do with the Alaskan Governor, Hot Air always has a picture or two or three of Sarah.

Why? Well, anyone who writes a political blog knows the answer. She gets viewers, she sells newspapers and she attracts blog hits. Andrew Malcolm of the Los Angeles Times Top of The Ticket Blog once emailed me that Sarah Palin's name is a sure thing.

Michael van der Galien points out that there is a lesson in those blg hits:

Why is this noteworthy? Because for all the criticism she received, she’s the only Republican able to attract a significant online audience. Her SarahPAC is the number one fundraising machine of the Republican Party. As of this moment, Sarah Palin has the most loyal and passionate following of every (former) Republican governor out there. And yes, that list includes my favorite Governor Mitt Romney.

People connected with her last year, and they continue to sympathize with her and her career. They follow her online, and defend her when they believe she’s unfairly attacked. Not only do they defend her, etc., they also donate millions of dollars to her PAC and to whatever cause she decides to support. This while the Republican Party as a whole has fundraising troubles and was destroyed during last year’s presidential election campaign (without Palin, it would have been even worse).

What does this mean? It means that Republican politicians (and conservative pundits) are wise to treat her with respect. And mere bloggers such as myself have to take her serious, understanding that for all her flaws, Palin is and will remain one of the most influential and popular national politicians.

Michael is preaching to the choir here.

To me it is simply amazing those that don't understand the populist uprising that is Palin. Bernard Goldberg wrote in his book Bias that those who work for the national media live in a bubble that includes Washington D.C. and New York. They are often shocked by what happens in the rest of the country.

he wrote that a woman he knew from the New York Times was shocked that George H.W. Bush beat Michael Dukakis in 1988. She told Goldberg that she didn't know "a single person who voted for Bush." Bush Sr. carried 40 states in one of the biggest landslides in history and she didn't know ONE person who voted for him? Probably not in her bubble.

The Washington and New York elite who control the main stream media do not get what is going on in the rest of the country. The passion for Sarah Palin and what she represents is real. As Michael van der Galien points out, there are signs everywhere. The media has to just stop ignoring them.

You Gotta Love Todd Palin

Todd Palin seems like plain speaking, down to earth cowboy. Or I guess he would be a snowmachineboy. Whatever, he doesn't mince words.

So when Men's Health Magazine asked Mr. Palin about his wife's controversial and well-publicized $150,00 spending spree for her campaign wardrobe, they got an earful - Alaskan style.

"She never went to Saks, or any of that stuff," he said. "You come into a campaign late, you put all your trust into the team, you got people who are working on VP ops for a long time, and we're just focused on debate prep. I couldn't give a rat's (expletive) about clothes. Please. I mean these are my Sunday go-to-meeting jeans!"

The First Dude said the whole thing was "out of their control." The media loved the story because it made the Hockey Mom seem to be a fraud. They reported on the $75,062 shopping spree at Neiman Marcus and the $49,425 spent at Saks Fifth.

Sarah said she never stepped foot in any of those stores and that she never wanted the expensive clothes. It was one of several mistakes the Palin's believe the McCain campaign made in handling McCain's popular running mate.

Todd was frustrated that the campaign wouldn't let Sarah be Sarah

"You got to remember, it's not like they just plucked us off the fishing boat with scales still under our nails, you know?" he told the magazine.

But Todd Palin, a champion snowmobiler racer, was allowed to be Todd and the Secret Service Agents assigned to him LOVED it.

"They liked cruising around with me," he said, "because we went to the Arctic Cat snowmachine factory and then drove up to North Dakota, went to a Penn State-Michigan football game, went to a NASCAR race. Rough duty, hanging out with me."

It would be fun to have this guy as America's First Dude.
