Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" bus pulled up to the Woodland Mall in Kentwood, Michigan, just outside of Grand Rapids, to the cheers of hundreds of supporters. Hundreds more were lines up inside the mall waiting for the first stop of her book signing tour.
Here is a report from WOOD-TV -
From Wood-TV in Grand Rapids:
KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - Holding her son in her arms, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stepped off her book tour bus and into the spotlight generated by a best-selling book, a charm offensive, plus local and national media.
Palin arrived at the Woodland Mall around 5:30 p.m. and made a few brief remarks to the hundreds waiting outside the mall who came to get their already-purchased book autographed.
Palin will sign copies of her book, "Going Rogue" between 6 and 9 p.m. at the store, 3195 28th St. SE. Barnes & Noble handed out first-come, first-serve wristbands beginning at 7 a.m. Only one wristband was given per person.
Dozens of people spent most of the night in line waiting to get a wristband for the event. Then, around 4 p.m., people were lined up near On the Border, waiting to see Palin.
Shortly after 4 p.m., the fire marshal told people standing in line that if they have chairs, they need to get them out or risk losing a spot in line.
The wristbands are mandatory in order to get in line for the book signing.
And here is some YouTube video - already posted - of Sarah signing books:
