Obama Press Secretery Calls Palin a Liar Again & Then Lies

To quote the President: This would be laughable it weren't so cynical.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs chastises Republican Congressman Joe Wilson for calling Barack Obama a liar, during the President's speech to Congress - AND THEN - defends The President for calling Sarah Palin a liar.

By the way, after Sarah Palin brought up the "death panels," the Democrats removed end of life counseling from the bill. The very thing that led to "death panels" in other countries.

One other point - Gibbs after defending the President that Sarah Palin lied - then told a WHOPPER. Few objective sources believes that the President can pay for this plan without finding "other sources" than those spelled out in his speech.

In other words - get ready for even more taxes.

And the biggest question looming - during a recession - with a HUGE deficit - why try this now? If there is extra money - then pay down the deficit.

The time to start a massive, money sapping Federal social program is not now. It's like putting an addition on your home when you are out of work - it is irresponsible.

Ms Palin, you are just so evil. Voluntary counseling about end of life issues is not the same as herding people into gas chambers. A lot of people can use that type of counseling. Stop it already.

A lot of people are suffering because the health care system is so screwed up, yet you and your friends are trying to scare everyone about change.

I'm going to keep repeating this until they get it. At least this last blog entry acknowledges the higher priorities that exist

The overall agenda needs to be defined by sensible Americans.

The real crisis is as follows:

Jobs
The overall economy – GDP growth
Fiscal stability and sensibility

We need for Congress to spend time on our priorities as noted. Until these are addressed, we should not spend much time on health care.

I would suggest no healthcare legislation gets considered until:

Unemployment is below 7%
GDP growth is steady at 2.5% annually
The annual deficit is reduced to less than 5% of GDP

This also means recasting the unspent stimulus dollars toward something effective in creating long-term value, like nuclear power plants.

Health care ideas and reforms can be studied and debated in the interim, but legislation can be actively pursued in chamber only after these other priorities have received sufficient time and attention and these goals have been achieved.

To do anything other is economic suicide and will make health care reform meaningless. Joblessness kills. The greatest source of bankruptcy is not health care but joblessness.

This is what we the people want and our employees in Washington need to start paying attention to our needs or they are going to have to be summarily fired.

Let's demand full attention to our agenda before anything else:

Jobs
The overall economy – GDP growth
Fiscal stability and sensibility

Congress, Barak -- we the people, your employers (not your subjects) order you to adjust your priorities to address the issues noted above before trying to distract us with a false crisis to attemmpt to establish health care above these other urgent and important priorities.

I see Anonymous is back at it again, how pathetic.

Instead of 0bama always touting the Mayo Clinic as a good example of health care, which it is since it is private and very expensive, he should be touting the VA medical system. A few years ago my uncle needed a 2nd heart bypass surgery, the VA put him on a six month waiting list, despite the fact they told him he needed it right away. I'd say that was a Death Panel.

Sarah Palin lied when she first stepped onto the national stage and falsely claimed to have said "Thanks, but no thanks" to Congress concerning the bridge to nowhere. Since that time, she has lied and lied and lied and the worst lie of all was her death panel lie.

Sarah Palin has done more damage to public discourse in our nation than any other individual since Joseph McCarthy. That is the great influence that she has that you like to boast of - to distort, incite and tear down the possibilities for national discourse.

Greg, Greg, Greg, Every one has the same fictitious Uncle and the wait keeps getting longer every time the story is told. No more anecdotes. Some VA hospitals are better than others, but in general, it is an excellent system.

The Gravina to Ketchikan bridge, was an important project, both Obama and Biden voted for it, but
the costs became unsustainable so they were repurposed for other projects. Gibbs doesn't really know enough to realize he's lying, they give him a script and away he goes.

Talk about "scare tactics", how about the President telling people who have insurance now that half of them will lose their insurance in the next 10 years?

He didn't even factor in the retired people who earned their lifetime privileges of group insurance coverage; military, teachers, city, state and federal workers, etc.

The only way we stand to lose our coverage is if he screws everything up and/or the government goes broke. And they are both very real possibilities now.

Thanks to him.

Wow Narciso, do you work in the White House press room? I'm impressed. Or did you actually make up your whole statement?

LET'S NOT CONFUSE THE SCADALOUS NEGLECT OF OUR WOUNDED VETS BY THE WAR MACHINE WITH GOVERNMENT INSURANCE. THE WAR MACHINE TREATS SOLDIERS LIKE TOILET PAPER...WHEN THEY'RE DONE WIPING YOU KNOW WHAT, THEY DON'T WANT TO HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH THEM.

RE: YOUR POST ABOVE. IT'S NOT SCARE TACTICS IF IT'S TRUE. MANY LOSE THEIR INSURANCE WHEN THEY LOSE THEIR JOBS. OTHERS GET DROPPED BECAUSE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES DON'T LIKE SICK PEOPLE--OR PEOPLE BEING TREATED FOR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. OR THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE OUTRAGEOUS FEES. A SELF-EMPLOYED FRIEND HAS BEEN TREATED FOR DEPRESSION, AND SHE IS PAYING $600 PER MONTH FOR HER POLICY!!! HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN AFFORD THAT KIND OF CASH JUST FOR HEALTH INSURANCE?

republicans are not hypocrites- and after reading this post, you will agree.

Alaska is a spectacular sight, with wildlife and serene landscapes, pity that some of it is melting, what a contradiction of terms, the oil governance supports the war in Iraq and claims to preserve the state of Alaska.
Some have said the global warming issue is just a complaint, and like most scientific facts- Christians will denounce them to feel secure in ignorance as bliss. Global warming and eco-destruction are just hyper sensationalized political ploys- and scientists are morons.
Does anybody remember when the Earth was flat? Prior to discovery Earth was the center of the universe according to people in history before astrology learned there a 9 planets and Earth is not the center of this solar system.
At any rate Republicans or should one write people who play politics and use the role of serving in the Republican party, have advanced science. I remember George W.Bush, who dis-allows evolution, and science, placing funding towards space exploration and NASA while serving in office- did he have plans to find "GOD" in the sky?
