Shannyn Moore is a woman from Alaska who made her career smearing Sarah Palin. Moore crossed the line last week hen she spread the rumor that Sarah Palin resigned because she was being investigated by the FBI.
Sarah Palin's attorney released a statement the next day warning Moore and several news organizations that they could face legal action if they spread that rumor.
The same day the FBI unequivocally stated that there is no investigation.
You would think Moore would be embarrassed and just shut up. No such luck.
Shannyn Moore challenged Sarah Palin to suit her. Ms. Moore should watch out what she wises for as it would cost her thousands of dollars in legal fees to defend herself - wouldn't that be justice after the money Sarah Palin has had to shell out to defend herself from the likes of Shannyn Moore and their baseless accusations.

Palin can't sue her. Moore is protected under the Constitution.
They can't tell the media what to say or do. Just like Fox news is mad that obama didn't want people to listen to idiot Rush L., but Rush is protected under the same Constitution. Aren't you people Americans. Don't you know these things. don't believe everything the right tells you. Use your brains.
Freedom of speech doesn't allow you to just say something harmful if it's not true. Hence the reason movie stars sue the rag mags all the time. (had to add that last bit to get on your level Rene)

Again, see libel and slander--those are not protected forms of speech, just as you can't yell "Fire" in a crowded theater and claim free speech--we have actual laws against such things.

Anyone can sue anyone at any given time. Depends on the substance of abuse as to whether or not it will end up in a full hearing.
Ms. Moore is that classic person who needs attention at someone else’s expense. What would be interesting… would she hollow “pro bono”, opps… that for criminals.

I feel Shannyn Moore is jealous of Sarah Palin's looks and her success, so is everyone else that attacks her..
I guarantee you Sarah will lose this lawsuit. You cannot, repeat cannot sue someone for saying that there are RUMORS about something. If she had stated as fact that Sarah was being investigated by the FBI, then, maybe she'd have a case. she does not have a valid case. Period. And I guarantee you Shannyn Moore isn't going away.
I see Moore is wearing her Palinesque glasses again. Lately, Moore has been pretty much reduced to following Palin around and taking pictures of her legs, and complaining about the length of her skirts. How creepy is that? I'd like to see Palin's lawyer file some kind of suit against Moore, even if it didn't go anywhere it would force Moore to get a lawyer and shell out lots of bucks. You can bet Axelrod and Soros, her paymasters, wouldn't shell out a dime on her behalf, because all Moore is is a useful idiot. Useful idiots are a dime a dozen.
It's really sad what our country has come to. When I was growing up, the media use to have ethics and were very careful to verify what they wrote, but with the introduction of blogs into the mix, we get rumors and hate filled attacks that are passed off as news now. Even the MSM posts what these idiots say. Hopefully at some point there will be some lawsuits that actually end up setting standards for these bloggers. As it stands now, the seems to be able to say anything that pops into the small pea brains and their readers take it in like Gospel. It's like what they have in Iran, with the state run TV and new stations. Are we still in America?

I agree with Tiffany. The tabloids get sued when they libel people. People get sued for harrassment all the time. Regardless, even if the case gets thrown out Ms. Moore still will have to incur legal fees defending herself. Why do you think that she had to make a statement? Ms. Moore is the typical coward and bully most of us encountered in elementary school. She feels it is OK to dish it out but when the shoe is on the other foot, she acts like she is the victim.
I recall that she tweitted as a fact that she KNEW what it was about and "Timing, baby, timing". That does not constitute a rumor. It is just a lot of backpedaling so she will not be sued that now she says that it was a "rumor".
Shannyn Moore blogs on Huffington Post and has legions of sycophants who cheer on her every lie.
She is a very sick woman. She earns a paycheck by smearing another woman, and maybe she's afraid the $$$ is slipping away.......
Shannyn Moore not only outright lies about Sarah Palin, but also makes insinuations about what she may or may not be wearing under her skirts. Perhaps Ms. Moore is "in love" with an unavailable woman?

I tried to post on her blog an opinion, of why I thought Sarah Palin should sue her but I feel because it didn't fit with what she and her readers wanted to hear, it was censured. There was no foul language, or anything like that. It was just an opinion. I thought she was all for freedom of speech? Must just be when it's what she wants to hear, that's it freedom of speech.
Sarah needs to focus on her calling and not the storms. There will always be mean and ugly people trying to tear us down. It makes them feel better about themselves. Look at them, pity them, pray for them and keep going. Remember the battle is not ours and that we war not against flesh and blood. The enemy wants nothing better than to get us off track and have us run around putting out fires he is starting instead of focusing on the prize. Remember it is not you they are attacking it is what you stand for. Keep looking up and keep your eyes on the prize and not the storms! This too shall pass!
