The Real Headline on CBS.Com was almost as bad, "Palin Popularity High Despite Latest News."
The article is worse. It is written based on a story that aired on the CBS Morning Show (so at least nobody saw it).
A recent poll shows that Sarah Palin's popularity is over 60 percent in Alaska. A high water mark most Governor's would die for.
But the article lists a bevy of tawdry stories that Sarah Palin herself has no control over - Levi Johnston on Tyra Bank's show - her husband's half sister getting arrested - John McCain's reluctance to commit to a 2012 candidate.
So where is the poll? The very last line of the story.
And the quote from the pollster is, of course, negative.
Bias is shown in subtle ways. This latest article by CBS is dripping with it. It has been like this at CBS for years. It is so bad that one of their own coorespondents wrote a book about the liberal bias that infests the building at West 57the Street in Mahattan.
It got even worse after they fired Barnard Goldberg for having the guts to write the book. They replaced the liberal and biased Dan Rather with the even more liberal and more biased Katie Couric. And, believe me, it was no easy task to find someone to the left of Dan.
It is no wonder network news is dying a slow death and CBS is in a deep last place. I know, I know, the Democrats claimed Katie Couric had "renewed popularity" after the hatchet job on Sarah Palin. They don't mention that she is still way behind ABC and NBC in the ratings.
I don't want to send you to the CBS website. It will just encourage them to write more BS like this (after all its part of their name.) So here is the unedited article:
Palin Popularity High Despite Latest News
Hovering At 60 Percent At Home; Negative News On Extended Family, Acquaintances Not Hurting Her
WASILLA, Alaska, April 6, 2009
(CBS) Sarah Palin insists she's been focusing on one thing -- governing Alaska -- since the presidential election.
But, observes Early Show national correspondent Hattie Kauffman, it's been hard to ignore the negative headlines swirling around her extended family and acquaintances in recent weeks.
Eyebrows were raised when Levi Johnston, the ex-fiancé of Palin's daughter, Bristol, and father of their son, Tripp, told Tyra Banks on Banks' talk show he's "pretty sure" the Alaska governor knew he and Bristol were having sex.
Johnston also admitted, after some prodding by Banks, that he and Bristol only practiced safe sex "most of the time."
He also claims Bristol has been refusing to let him take their baby, Tripp, out alone, a charge flatly denied by the Palin family. A spokesperson calls the claims "flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."
Bristol herself told Fox News abstinence "isn't realistic" for teens.
Word came last month that Bristol and Johnston had broken up.
Another piece of negative news hitting close to home involved the recent arrest on felony burglary charges in Palin's hometown of Wasilla, Alaska of her sister-in-law.
Ted Turcott told Kauffman he was home alone when he heard a stranger enter his home. So he hid in the bathroom with a gun.
"I said, 'Lady, you're in big trouble," ' Turcott recalled for Kauffman. "I kept telling her to sit down and she didn't listen. She was the coolest woman you've ever seen in your life."
Add to the personal drama a political hit from former running mate John McCain, who hedged on endorsing her for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination when given the chance on "Meet he Press" last month, saying he'd "have to see who the candidates are and what the situation is at the time."
Back in December, Levi Johnston's mother was hit with six felony drug charges in Alaska.
So, is all this airing of Palin-related real and alleged dirty laundry drown out her political message?
Pollster Ivan Moore told Kauffman Palin "brought this all on herself by making her kids an issue last year."
But, adds Kauffman, Palins' approval rating is over 60 percent in Alaska, so she's hardly out in the cold among her home state's voters.

The latest news is that Gov. Palin's legal defense fund should be up and running by Thursday or early next week at the latest. She's got over $500,000 in legal bills due to all the ridiculous "ethics" complaints filed by 0bama loyalists since the election.
So you can look for another hit piece from CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, NYT, Time, Newsweek, et.al, in the coming days.
Greg, you're right about the hit pieces coming; except this could work in her favor if they mention her Defense Fund.
Liz Wehl said on Bill O'Reilly the other night that Palin can't publicize her fund. So maybe the bozo media outlets can do it for her. Ha!
She sure has no 60 percent rating in the lower 48. People in Alaska are blind to her and wont admit how bad she did campaiging and loosing the election for John. All she is trying to do is stay in the spot light. Its her and the rest of the canidates that may run in 2012 and the way the republicans in D C are going against everything the president is trying to do that is why I have quit the republican party. It is awful the way she paraded Levi around on the national stage. And now that she lost they dumb him. Wonder who she will pick for the father of Bristols baby in 2012 so she can do the same thing. May be Tod will bring his sister out there. I have never seen a family with such bad morals and you want some one like this in the white house. If she does run she better take some courses to learn how to speak in a complete sentence. Boy the Debates she has will be a blast to watch. First out Sarah, then Bobby, Newt, Mark and Mitt will be the one left standing. As far as what I have read she has plenty of Means to pay for her legal fees.
Sarah Palin is an egomanical narcissist - you drones really need to get a life. She is NOT who you want in the white house, let alone the senate. I can't wait till she's no longer the so-called governor of Alaska. Not like she's doing anything remarkable other than responding to every single stupid thing someone says or does!
