I feel so bad for Bristol Palin.
When a 17 year old girl find out she is pregnant, life is tough enough. But Bristol has to deal with this intense scrutiny from a psychotic media that claims it wants the Palin's to go away, but can't stop writing about them; that ridicules the family, but uses every event to sell papers and get ratings; and that begs for interviews and access, but accuses the family of publicity seeking.
That same media is having a field day today with another heartache for Bristol and the Palin family.

As is the case with many teen couples who have a baby, the pressure has become too much. Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have split up. Baby Tripp is 2 and a half months old.
19 year old Levi told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he and 18-year-old Bristol mutually decided "a while ago" to end their relationship. He declined to elaborate as he stood outside his family's home in Wasilla, about 40 miles north of Anchorage.
He also said some details of the breakup, rumors of which had been swirling on the Internet, were inaccurate.
Bristol Palin said in a statement issued through a spokeswoman for her mother's political action committee that she was "devastated."
"Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to 'cash in' on the Palin name," she said. "Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth."
SarahPAC spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton did not immediately respond to requests for clarification.

Perhaps when Levi calls reports "inaccurate" and Bristol accuses people of cashing in on her family name they are talking about Levi's sister Mercedes who was paid to give some juicy details to Star Magazine.
From the Star site -
Now Levi's sister, Mercede is telling all exclusively to Star and the picture she paints of life in Wasilla, Alaska is not a pretty one. Bristol, 18, has virtually cut Levi out of the life of their two-month-old son Tripp.
"Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible. She tells him he can't take the baby to our house because she doesn't want him around 'white trash'!" Bristol won't even allow him to watch the baby for a few hours -- unless he's babysitting!
The worst part, Mercede continues, is that the former vice presidential candidate supports Bristol's treatment of Levi, 19. "I used to love Sarah," Mercede says sadly. "But I've lost lots of respect for her."
Truthfully, if I was a young mother I may not want my baby over the Johnston's home since Levi's Mom has been charged with selling drugs from the house.
But when did things change? In an interview that aired on Fox News last month, Bristol Palin said her fiance saw the baby every day and described him as a "hands-on" dad. The two had said they were considering a summer wedding.
It's unclear what led to the split. "It kind of just happened," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE. "I thought they would stick it out. But I think they can work together to raise Tripp."

Levi Johnson's dad, Keith Johnston, recently told the magazine that his son is a devoted and "proud father."
So the wedding is off and now this young man and woman will be the subject of tabloid papers and TV gossip reports for years.....from the same press that wishes they would just go away. Yeah, right!
There is one lingering question though. What is Levi going to do about the Bristol tattoo on his fingers?
He should leave it on for awhile. You know young love, these two could be back together next week,

As usual, FOX was LYING.
It was a fake tattoo. I wonder who's name is on his finger these days?
Part of your post I found word-for-word on another site posted a day earlier. Here is the address:

Generally when one copies and pastes from copyrited material, one cites the source. Is this blog immune somehow? One would have the impression, where you are not citing your word-for-word sources, that you are authoring the material when it would appear that in fact you are not.
Bill,
It is intersting that you bring this up and you used the example that you did.
The AOL article that I lifted some copy from was lifted in its entirety by AOL from the Associated Press. AOL did not give AP credit, instead they call it AOL/wire services, which is technically correct, but is not the correct way of giving credit.
However, I work in the media and it is common practice to lift from a wire service without giving credit. Many radio reports and TV reports are word for word from the AP, Reuters or some other service.
The exception is when the AP has an exclusive or writes a rare opinion piece, then you would say "The AP is reporting" or use quotations.
If you notice, when I use from any other source, I give credit, embolden in quotes and provide a link.
Factual content from the Associated Press or another wire service like reuters, I sometime don't credit unless I am using the enitire article.
BUT, here is where I believe that you have a point. And this is why I started off this post by saying that it was interesting that you rbought this up because I was just having a discussion about it. i don't pay for the wire service like the newspapers, AOL, the radio stations and TV stations do. So I think you are right and when I lift a sentence or a paragraph I will give credit from now on.
I am used to reporting with organizations that pay for the service and so was used to not giving credit. thank you Bill for helping me think this through.
So much for conservative family values.
I'm having a lot of fun watching you guy's false concern for Bristol when your movement has spent the past 40 years knocking down teen mothers and single moms.
Oh well, I guess when the last name is "Palin" they get a free pass. I feel bad for Bristol too, her and all her hypocritical "supporters" who look down their noses her every bit as much as they do "LaTonya" and "Shaqueeda".
You're not fooling me, cons.
" As usual, FOX was LYING "
Someone was lying, and it wasn't Fox. Clearly Bristol was lying when she told her Mothers stalker, aka Greta Van Susteren, that she and Levi were planning to marry. They had already broken up prior to her interview.
Like Mother like daughter when it comes to shamelessly telling bold faced lies. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the Palin family.
