Sarah Palin is a Hero!

The Harris Poll asked 2,634 adults across America to name one person they consider a Hero. There were no choices offered, no list of names, and therefore, no bias.

The polls started in mid-January during the Barack Obama Inauguration hype and Obama came in first on the list. Jesus Christ was second

On the list of heros are former Presidents, world leaders, religious leaders and those who have achieved great success in their field of endeavor.

And then there is Sarah Palin. She came in 21, ahead of General Patton and Bill Gates.

The inclusion of Sarah Palin, despite all of the attacks and negative press, was not surprising to me, but stunning to her detractors. There is a belief on the left that she has Sarah Palin has been damaged beyond repair.

This poll and others should prove that Sarah should not be taken lightly. She has struck a deep chord with many Americans. Sure, she leads in political polls among likely Republican candidates, but this poll is different. She was the first choice of many Americans as their personal hero. She is the only Republican hopeful for 2012 on the list.

Although there are many who would rather see her wait until 2016, so much can happen in eight years. Sarah Palin's time is now.
