Palin Family Slams New Biography

From David Hulen in Anchorage for the Achorage Daily News:

The Palin camp has weighed in on the book. An e-mail from Meghan Stapleton:

"The Governor did not authorize this book and is not responsible for whatever the author might conjure up. There are several books in the pipeline. The only authorized and authoritative book will be the one the Governor writes herself -- someday."

Meghan Stapleton
Palin Family Spokesperson

She said neither she nor Palin has seen the book. She has been answering media inquiries, and took particular issue with something passed along from a reporter who evidently saw additional excerpts having to do with the timing of McCain's choice - something about McCain asking Palin about VP in February of last year. (We haven't seen the book). "The author has his facts wrong on this one," Stapleton wrote. "Nothing happened on the VP selection until August. Getting such an important fact wrong casts doubts on whatever else might be in the book."

I asked Stapleton, who worked for the McCain campaign in Alaska, if she was a paid spokeswoman, and if so, who was paying. "I help the Governor with non-official business. I have an arrangement with the PAC to handle the Governor's unofficial activities from Alaska," she wrote in an e-mail.

Someome making some money off Sarah Palin for a change? That's a shock! Palin is probably angry that she wont be earning a penny from this blog. After all, she is the Queen of the free lunch and hand out.
