Bloggers Have a Sarah Palin Foot and Leg Fetish

Sarah Palin is burning up the blogs again...and again it is her footwear that is getting attention.

This time it is the black boots she wore to Washington. The guy who writes the website "The Superficial" apparently has some kind of foot fetish, because he (or she) got downright aroused by the sleek, black boots worn by the Governor.

You can read the aptly named blog post by clicking here. Be warned that there are obscenities.

Here are a couple of the pictures that the blogger got all excited about. -

Forget the boots. I hope that guy with her isn't her security. That's a Senior Service agent.

Sarah looks great. But what is the fascination with her footwear? No woman who has hit the national political scene has received this kind of attention since Jackie Kennedy.

Remember the story last week when Sarah Palin's niece put her shoes on EBAY. The shoes, seen below, unfortunately had the brand name "Naughty Monkey."

Then there were all the press reports about the red pumps she loved to wear.

No candidates feet and legs have ever been photographed as much. It bordered on sexist.

And then it went completely overboard with this controversial Associated Press photograph -

It all seems harmless - the shots of Palin's legs, the focus on her wardrobe, the photoshop pictures on the Internet, the label of hottest Governor, etc - until you realize that it is the way that women have been diminished in the workplace for years. It is sexist to the core and a way for her detractors to minimize her. It plays into an out dated stereotype that pretty women can't be smart.

It is the ultimate glass ceiling. One that Sarah just may break in 2012.

Please. Please. PLEASE don't fret over opinions of others. If they like to see her legs, fine. If she didn't want to show them, then she wouldn't. She's not a child (though there are others who want to argue the contrary). She can take care of herself and what she exposes. There's no point in griping about it. Why not promote women to be something great, which is strange to keep encouraging because they're already in high positions of power. If power is your main concern then women politicians should make you happy. I on the other hand, don't care much if a woman is in power or a man for that matter. It's not that important. At all.
Hence, it's labeled politics. And politics brings a very big spotlight that brings everything, including legs and feet, to the attention of the public.

You have actually taken the time to dedicate a sarcastic blog to a woman you don't even know?

Why don't you simply wear a green shirt that states:
I'm envious, a bad judge of character and obsessed with a famous person.

Who manufactures people like yourself?

This is scary.
