The most recent Sarah Palin interview is outstanding.
It underscores the central point that the McCain campaign was incompetent. They completely mishandled Palin. They should have let Sarah be Sarah.
Palin brilliantly defended herself against the main stream media and exposed their bias in the interview with John Zeilger for his upcoming documentary "Media Malpractice."
Here are her major points, which are difficult to disagree with no matter how partisan you are.
*Barack Obama announced to the media that attacks on his family was off-limits and the media respected that boundary, but they did not give Palin the same respect which either exposed a sexism of a liberal bias.
*The Main Stream picked up on a story fabricated on anonymous blogs that Trig wasn't really Sarah Palin's baby. Trig is the Down Syndrome infant that Sarah Palin gave birth two just four months before she was chosen by McCain. It is a sad state of affairs when the Media uses anonymous blogs as a hard news source. Of course, they only used those blogs as a source to attack Sarah Palin, who was threatening an Obama victory before the media went on attack mode.
*The Katie Couric interview was edited to show Sarah at her worst. Many topics where Palin feels she shined hit the edit room floor. Sarah says she knew the interview was heading in a bad direction after day one but the McCain campaign insisted she go back for days two and three.
*Katie Couric told David Letterman that "until this day" Sarah Palin hasn't explained who she didn't answer the question of what papers she reads. Palin's answer, "Katie, your not the center of everybody's universe." Yes!
*In response to Tina Fey's portrayal of Sarah Palin saying, "I believe that marriage is a sacred bond between two unwilling teenagers." Sarah says "it kills me" when her children are portrayed unfairly. As the Alaskan Governor puts it, "Mama Grizzly rises up in me."
*Palin says she is watching the media handling of Caroline Kennedy carefully. Kennedy, of course, wants to be coronated Senator of New York, replacing Hillary Clinton. Kennedy has no public service record and has done poorly in interviews." Palin says she is watching to see if the media handles Caroline with "kid gloves" or puts her under the same "microscope." If there is a difference in treatment, Palin suggests it shows the media also has a "class" bias.
*It sounds like Palin will run in either 2012 or 2016 because "there is a need in our country for reform."

And here is the interview -
I am looking forward to a Palin candidacy. She has more fire and charm than any Republican candidate out there and it is clear that she is becoming more polished.
President-elect Obama has already made some mis-steps. The Bill Richardson pick for Commerce Secretary was a big one. And the nominations of Panetta for CIA chief and Clinton for Secretary of State will lead to fiery conformation hearings. And Obama's ties to Illinois' dirty politics have not played out yet.
Obama has stumbled a bit, but is still Teflon right now, as he should be during this Honeymoon with the country.
But if the first term goes poorly, look for Palin to run in 2012. If the first term goes well, I think she will wait until 2016.
But whenever she runs, Mama Grizzly will make it interesting and will steal all of the attention.

Governor Palin, I am blogging this statement using information I have learned from media sources. With that said, please correct my errors and set the record straight on any misinformation I might have.
During the campaign, reports were that you had attended five different colleges before finally receiving a BS degree in Communications-Journalism from the University of Idaho. With this on the table and your recent comments from the documentary, the University of Idaho should consider resending your degree. Although I have never taken any journalism classes, my common sense tells me that at least one of the classes had to have discussed the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution. You know the one about free speech.
The newspapers I read, often have articles with the line, “according to a source that wishes to remain anonymous,” injected into them. There have been recent cases where journalists have gone to jail because they refused to give up their source.
So get off your high moose and stop whining. I am sorry if the media appeared to portray you as a stupid individual, but if the hoof fits…
Not remaining anonymous, Felicia Smith.
But you ARE a stupid individual, Sarah. But there is no shame in that...
Go Sarah! Her observations and remarks are excellent. Run Sarah Run!
Sara Palin is not much of a role model to begin with..getting knocked up and not married..a do nothing husband,a son out of control a knocked up daughter whose babies father is arrested .I believe the cold weather has got to the brains of the Alaskans Its as scary as Charlie Manson getting out of prison for her to be elected
"If there is a difference in treatment, Palin suggests it shows the media is also has a "class" bias."
Is also has a class bias? What???This is a quote from the Palin interview summary the blogger of this wirtes and I would please like an explanation of what it means? You use the same phrasing and misuse the word "also" just like Sarah....is that you Sarah? Are you the blogger writing this site?
It just goes to show why you idolize Ms. Palin because you are obviously as imcompetent as she is. That is one of many examples of bad phrasing and type-o's in your summary. Try spell check or maybe have a 6th grader read it back to you before you push the publish botton.
I come here so I can observe the other side to make sure I am right in my feelings about Palin and every time I come you prove me right!!
How Obama Got Elected?
Sore loser, Sarah.
I am a huge supporter of Governor Palin and have now become a follower of your blog. Keep up the good work. I have recently begun to blog myself. Would you please take a look and let me know what you think? You can find it at www.motivationtruth.com. Stay in the fight. God bless you.
Sarah Palin had as fair of run at the VP slot as she deserved. She came in cocky and simply got slapped across the nose for being so. Palin is a untrained puppy that filled a slot in Alaska that needed to be cleaned up, not to say she is any cleaner. Just recently she had to pay the state back something like $70k for carting her youngins around on the state dollar...wrong. There are still issues regarding material used on her house, troopergate and misuse of power. She didn't know the three countries that make up North America, she lied, she has never been to Iraq, and she simply got defensive on Katie Couric's question regarding what she read. Considering what we knew about her at the time, it was a legitimate question. Palin did not know what her role would have been, and it is not to run the senate. Beyond presumputous and preposturous, she really can not compare herself to Caroline Kennedy. The biggie for me is the first time those people yelled, "kill him"' "treason" and the "N" word she MAY not have heard it. The next day she heard it, and should have said something, that tells me a lot about Palin. At least McCain finally said something. If Palin thinks she was treated badly in 2008, let her come on back and play with the big dogs, that puppy will get her comeupence yet again. We'll get her paper trained yet.
