The ATF and the FBI are involved in the investigation to find out who set the Wasilla Bible Church on fire.
There were women and children inside the Church at the time making the arson especially vile.
Attempted Murder, Arson and a Hate Crime are just a few of the local and federal charges that can and should be filed against these sickos once they are caught.
I have left the address of the Wasilla Baptist Church on the site for those who want to send sympathies and donations.
In the meantime, read this editorial from the Anchorage Newsminer.
Much was made of the fact that the Wasilla Baptist Church is Sarah Palin's church and the arson may have had political motivations. Sarah Palin even apologized to the pastor and the congregation.
But the Newsminer Editorial makes a great point. The motivation really doesn't matter. Arson is arson. And the fact that people were inside should make it a social and moral imperative that the arsonists be caught and put away for a long time.
Politics is not the issue here. Public safety is!

If it would have been Jeremiah Wright's den of hate, Barry's church for 20 yrs, then it would be on every night headline news, with activists, congressman/woman, etc. screaming and vociferating.
Someone would have been arrested by now, but since it's Palin they don't give a hoot.
Oh please, if The Gays had done it like the rightwing is trying to claim, it would be nonstop news, all over the planet by now.
The only reason Wasilla BIBLE (not BAPTIST church, get it right) was news is because Sarah Palin is associated with it so you're quite wrong, Carlos.
