Track, Trig and now Tripp, Sarah Palin's Grandson

He is finally here!

Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston's birthday is December 28.

People Magazine is reporting that Tripp was born in Palmer, Alaska on Sunday weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

The Mother, 18-year-old Bristol Palin, and her little boy are doing just fine.

Baby Tripp takes his surname from his dad, Levi Johnston, an apprentice electrician and former Wasilla High School hockey player who has been dating Bristol for three years.

And, of course, Tripp has a famous grandmother, Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican Vice-Presidential nominee and Governor of Alaska.

Sarah Palin has a 19 year old son in Iraq named Track and a 9 month old son with Downs Syndrome named Trig. Tripp tops off the alliteration trio.

"We think it's wonderful," said Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol's grandmother Sally Heath, who confirmed the news. "The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited."

Bristol Palin is currently residing in Wasilla and completing her high-school diploma through correspondence courses.

Levi Johnston is a former hockey player at Alaska's Wasilla High School. He has said he and Bristol plan to marry in 2009.

Johnston is studying to become an electrician. He told the Associated Press in October that he and fiancée Bristol plan to wed in the summer of 2009 and raise the child together. Levi has Bristol tattooed on his finger.

Levi and Bristol are getting a nice shower gift from People Magazine. According to Andrew Malcolm's blog at the LA Times, People is paying Three Hundred grand for the first baby pictures.

Bristol, the eldest of Sarah and Todd Palin's three daughters (the couple also have two sons), made headlines with her pregnancy last summer, shortly after Republican presidential candidate John McCain picked the Alaska governor to be his running mate on his party's ticket.

In a statement at the time, Bristol’s parents said their daughter "came to us with news that we as parents knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned." They added, Bristol "has our unconditional love and support."

Sarah Palin has been dubbed the "Hottest Governor in the Country.

She has been dubbed a MILF and a VPILF. Now she is the hottest Grandmother in the country and a GILF. Well wait, I guess she always was a GILF because she was a Governor, now she is a GMILF.

As for Tripp's other Grandmother....

Sherry Johnston was arrested ten days ago in her home in Wasilla, Alaska, on six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, police said.

Grandma Johnston was released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 6.
