It was described by many news commentators as Palin's "Alaskan accent." But any Alaskan will tell you, "It's not ours."
So where did Sarah Palin get that accent? C'mon, you've heard it before. Think of Frances McDormand's Academy Award winning performance in Fargo.
You betcha', it is that North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin area accent -the Nordic States, don't ya know.
So how did Sarah end up with that accent?

Bush has a fake accent, too. A Connecticut boy with an affectated Texas accent.

I had to put that in, and I have to tell you WHY I really FEAR her, and why I think the other three quarters of America will not give her a free pass...
It is George Bush, for 8 years he trashed our counry, and ALL of us let him get away it. YEAH, some of fought tooth and nail, but ultinately BUSH WON, People have died, lost their lives due to Bush, we BELIEVE THAT.
Palin looks like the same thing to us, and we are not letting this one slide. We will call every bluff.
George Bush was like a bad oil spill accident that will take generations to clean up, and I am afraid that Mrs. Palin looks like the same accident waiting to happen. That is the reason.

The accent was played up to rabblerouse the hayseeds. She's not really using it anymore, and didn't all that much prior to the VP nomination.
I think it's hilarious that conservatives are STILL dumb enough to fall for this old gag. There is no reason to "fear" her; it's showbiz. She's vaudeville, reborn.
