Palin Serving Red Meat in Red States

Sarah Palin was in Jacksonville, Florida today and gave a little preview for the debate tonight saying, "it is going to be the difference between a guy who makes big promises and a guy who gets things done"

She also mocked Barack Obama for saying he didn't know about the past of William Ayers, a man Palin who helped launch Obama's political career in Chicago and a man Palin has been calling a "Domestic Terrorist" for his involvement in plans to bomb Federal Buildings including the Pentagon.

Palin said, "“And since he got called out on his plans to meet unconditionally with terrorist state leaders like Ahmadinejad, will he now claim he was unaware of his radical backgrounds?

It was another big crowd for Palin and several hundred were turned away. A local television reporter noticed that the majority of the crowd was made up of women of all ages.

The crowd cheered enthusiastically as Palin stepped up attacks on Barack Obama's character and his associates.

Palin will now take those attacks to North Carolina.

Palin will hold a 7PM rally Tuesday at Minges Coliseum on the East Carolina University campus. It’s the first major North Carolina campaign event for the Republican ticket in months. Party nominee John McCain last visited the state during the primary on May 6.

The Palin appearance in North Carolina is a sign of how bad things are going for the McCain campaign. Instead of fighting for traditional battleground states, Sarah Palin is sent to try ad hold on to a traditionally Republican state like North Carolina.

The last Democrat to win North Carolina was Jimmy Carter in 1976. Polls now show a tie between McCain and Obama.

Palin also made a stop in traditionally Republican Nebraska this week. This strategy makes some sense in that Conservative Republicans love Sarah Palin. So the campaign is sending her to sure up the base. While John McCain, who appeals to Democrats and Independents, campaigns in the battleground states like New Hampshire, Colorado and New Mexico, where he has a lot of support.

Something interesting is happening as Palin campaigns. The media that follows her is being heckled. The Palin supporters blame the reporters for being unfair to their candidate.

There is some fear among reporters that the attacks are getting ugly and they want more protection from local authorities.

The media does not like to be attacked back.

It is a sign of just how emotional and heated this election is becoming...and we still have three and a half weeks to go.

If you interested in Palin, you should check out this McCain/Palin playing card deck, it's pretty cool. Palin is the Queen, McCain the king, a lot of their other supporters are on the deck as well.

William Ayers? Uh, Mr. McCain and Ms. Palin might want to tread a bit carefully, there. Two words for you: "Keating Five". A 1989 scandal in which McCain and four other senators were nearly impeached by the House Ethics Committee for pressuring regulators on behalf of Lincoln Savings and Loan magnate Charles Keating. The interesting wrinkle is that Keating just happened to have given over *$1 MILLION* in donations to their campaigns. (McCain a "Maverick"?? I don't think so.)

The collapse of Keating's S&L cost the taxpayers over *$2 BILLION*. Some 23,000 Lincoln bondholders were defrauded, and many elderly investors lost their life savings. (Hmmmm, sound familiar?)

Because the scandal called McCain's honor and integrity into question, he counted it as "an even worse experience than Vietnam".

On the other hand, Ayers and Obama simply served on the board of the same charity organization. (Ayers is now a teacher.) He also gave $200 to Obama's senate campaign, which Obama didn't even know about.

So, to review the facts:

-The Keating Five scandal was the result of McCain's own ACTIONS, in return for campaign funds. Obama simply knows the guy.

-Political favors in return for $1 million, versus a $200 random donation.

Who looks worse in this picture?

I do not think it is ok for either candidate or VP candidate to inspire riot-like chanting using words like "terrorist" or "kill him" in a rally! This is an election in the United States, a Democracy. We, the electorate, will figure out what we think about the Ayers/Keating/Rev. Wright issues and vote accordingly. We don't need more hate or violence in this country. Please stop the baiting of the ignorant, mob mentality.

The next President of the United States should be proud of his country, despise terrorists and fight for what is right. Obama is no better than the people he has surrounded himself with, just like you and I. Didn't your Mother tell you that you are judged by the company you keep? What's wrong with you people? Are you so blinded that you are willing to ignore the obvious???

Let's chat about Palin...

#1. We are currently the laughing stock of the world. The reason is clear... they can't believe the United States could actually vote for Sarah Palin...It has nothing to do with not being tough or not having enough experience.... she just doesn't have it... you know what I mean.

#2. I always thought it odd that most of the Pro-Life groups support the NRA, and violence and war as a means to peace....wow.....the chants at the rally for Palin were shocking.

#3. Palin, Pro-Life???? The fact that she supports "Trophy Hunting" tells me alot about her heart....she obviously doesn't respect Life at all ...it starts with respecting all of God's creatures (that, by the way, includes the elks with the big racks)oh, and the wolves, too.

#4. Let's talk about global warming....okay let's say it's not man made. Still, what gives us the right to pollute the planet and rape the land? 3 out of 4 of us will die of a degenerative disease ....cause.... toxins in our food and environment... Hello.
Why would drilling in Alaska help us.... it just prolongs the use oil as a source of energy....We are smart enough to think of something else, aren't we?????....C'MON... that is just a no-brainer.

#5. Apparently most people don't think of the cause and effect in the making of a Terrorist. The United States has given the Terrorist leaders all the amunition they need to propagate fear and hatred in the minds of young innocent boys (who then grow up to be terrorists)

AN EYE FOR AN EYE, MAKES THE WHOLE WORLD BLIND.... Gandhi

Thanks for Reading,May you all be blessed.

In Happiness and Health,
Annette

What really bothers me is how Sarah Palin keeps trying to tell us all how she's such a great Christian but then she is getting people all worked up at the rallies so that they are chanting things like "terrorist" and "kill him" referring to Obama and she just stands there smiling and nodding like she thinks it great. She is such a shrew it makes me sick. She practices nepotism in her cabinet in Alaska. She fired everyone and hired her friends from high school and yes even middle school. Her cabinet looks like her high school year book. And as far as Obama's associations she and McCain have absolutely no room to talk. She once wanted to get Alaska to secede from the union. Now that's the kind of "good" American I want for a VP!! NOT!!!
I was raised in a good God-fearing family and from a long line of ministers and preachers and let me tell you she is NOT a Christian.
I would like to see John McCain and Sarah Palin and their spouses just go to one rally and not tell lies and just stick to the issues. I have yet to hear what they even stand for. They are so focused on lying and slinging mud that they don't even have a plan for anything that is worth anything.

All I can say is let it be on their heads if anything happens to Obama. It will be directly because of them. They are the real terrorists.

Let's see...Obama has a history and proven track record of consorting with terrorists and racists, and Sarah Palin goes hunting? You're kidding me, right?
