Yael T. Abouhalkah, a columnist for the Kansas City Star, makes a great point about the new ad the Obama campaign has launched. It is a cheap shot at Sarah Palin.
Here is the AD that ends with the famous Sarah wink:
Now here is the problem, after the second debate Barack Obama whined that John McCain "didn't sat it to my face." when asked about his long close relationship with domestic terrorist William Ayers.
The topic never came up in the town hall debate, where the audience asks the questions.
In the third debate, sitting right across the table from Obama and looking him right in the eyes, McCain did say it to his face.
In that same debate, Obama was given the chance to say to McCain's face that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be present and he chose not to.
Obama instead refused to answer the question, which is sort of like voting "present," which he did 166 times in the Illinois Legislature anytime a tough issue would come up.
Here's what Obama said, “That's going to be up to the American people. I think that obviously she's capable politician. She has, I think, excited the base in the Republican Party and I think it's very commendable, the work she's done on behalf of special needs.”
But in the new Obama ad, Obama takes direct aim at Palin.
The ad mocks McCain, pointing to his three-year-old quotation that "I know a lot less about economics than I do about military or foreign policy issues."
It continues with McCain's words that he may have to "rely on a vice president" to help with economic issues.
The ad says: "His choice?"
Then the ad wordlessly shows a smiling Palin at a speech, winking at the crowd.
Abouhalkah says in his column, "I have no problem with Obama saying Palin was a horrible choice as a vice presidential candidate because she's unqualified to be president. But Obama ducked the issue when given a chance to tell John McCain face-to-face that Palin was not qualified to be president. Obama's last-minute attack ad was unfair."
Well said.
It seems the Obama campaign is trying to take the attention off the fact that its Vice Prseidntial Candidate, Joe Biden, keep saying stupid things.
Except for tightly controlled situations, the campaign has been keeping Biden from the press because he just might Gaffe again.
Palin on the other hand has been the most accesible candidate in the last few weeks. So Barack, if you want to say it to her face, she's available.

Thanks!
LOL....No HIS face is correct as I was talking about McCain, if you read the story...
Typical...attack without the facts.
I do not believe it was a cheap shot. Both sides of the aisle are now overly sensitive, because this is an emotionally charged election. The ad merely suggests that Sen. McCain may need someone stronger on economic policy. Therefore, Gov. Palin may not be the best choice for this task. Having an ad with her wink is not demeaning. However, anything that degrades any of the candidates based on sex, race, stereotypes, or age is wrong. For example, standing by as an atmosphere of hate and intolerance grows at political rallies is wrong. Instigating, or not refuting , rumors of one candidate being anti-American and an alien resident is wrong. Pertaining to online blogs, equating preparedness as the sole quality of white males, and therefore not inherent in women or African-Americans is a fallacy. Scrutinizing one candidate's expensive wardrobe and eyewear instead of focusing on alternative energy, foreign policy, and economic recovery is foolhardy. Using age as the primary factor for deciding to vote for one candidate over another does not denote wisdom. After all, we have a history of younger people in America, who could not tout a lengthy resume, but they possessed a vision and a plan. Also, we have seen how older individuals continually change our opinions concerning what is possible in our later years. To voters, deciding to pick one candidate primarily because he is or isn't white, or to prevent or secure a woman as vice president, is too much of a gamble at this time in history. It is survival time, so put aside any personal biases or agendas, and focus on the issues. Only believe what you read and hear after you have validated it with multiple credible, unbiased sources. Then, go into the polls and pick the person you feel is qualified.

The pontificating equivalent of the rascal flat command is a highly decorated horse hide of utmost proportion.
See, anyone can splatter a bunch of words. It's easy. Now tell us why it's not wrong to attack that woman for trying to be humorous and human in a tense situation.
no, I read the entry...it fully demonstrates just how poor your writing is that people have no idea what you are talking about
People? It seems to be just...you.
Reminds me of the scene in Old School when Will Ferrell is running down the treet naked and says "We're streaking!" But there is no one else behind him.
I'm glad you get it now.
Sorry you idn't before.
Now get in the car and be quiet before you embarass youself more.
Sarah Palin is not worthy of even licking Obama's ass.
You all can toss that useless cunt back into her cage. Keep her; America has no need for her.
In fact, bring ME Sarah''s severed leg, and I'll pay you $2,000.
