Palin Derangement Syndrome

Cinnamon Stillwell, a columnist from the San Francisco Chronicle, wrote a great column on the country's obsession with Sarah Palin.

She points out the rabid attempts to ruin Sarah Palin starting immediately after she was picked, has only strengthened her in the eyes of the public.

Stillwell writes, "The attacks on Palin have ranged from patronizing to vicious to fantastical. She has been caricatured as an inexperienced rube, a baby-making automaton, an uneducated underachiever, a bad mother, trailer-park trash, a right wing religious fanatic, a sexual fantasy, and of course, a fascist. No subject has been deemed taboo in the effort to take Palin down.

What her detractors don't seem to realize is that in the process of insulting Palin, they are insulting the majority of the country."

As the Media and the Democrats try and try to tear down Palin, there also have a secondary strategy - to drop Joe Biden and put Hillary on the ticket.

I remember Rudy Giuliani making fun of the Obama flip-flops during his convention speech and saying "Joe, I hope you have something in writing."

The Washington Post also has a great article this morning saying what I have been saying here for the past two and a half weeks - "Love her or hate her, we are all talking about Sarah."
