They have finalized the details of the Sarah Palin-Joe Biden debates.
Joe and the Dems wanted lecterns and some separation between the two candidates. The Washington Post reports that in 2000 and 2004, the candidates sat at a table together. The Democrats thought Lieberman and Edwards were too nice to Dick Cheney because of the proximity. They think that gave Cheney the advantage and that's why he won both debates.
I guess Joe Biden wants some distance so he can go after Sarah Palin. If that happens, it is a huge mistake on Biden's part. He cannot go after a woman, he will just look bad and the audience will get uncomfortable.
My guess is that Biden did not want to be sitting next to Palin because, just like at a wedding, all eyes would be on Sarah, even when Biden talked.
The Democrats and the Media once again have also made a mistake by painting Palin as dumb and inexperienced. Politicians in Alaska say she killed her opponents in the debate. Couple her skill with low expectations and all she has to do is okay to come out the winner. Poor Joe.

Puh-lease. The Republicans removed any sort of "debate" from the VP Debate because they knew Palin wouldn't stand a chance if she actually had to be challenged on the issues. The VP debate is gonna be question and answer only, and I'll be surprised if Palin can even get any of that bit right without looking like the ignorant tool of conservative greed that she is.
