Heeeeere's Hillary!
The absence of Hillary Clinton in the Obama campaign is fascinating. First off, he has no one to blame but himself. If Obama had picked Hillary as his running mate, it would not even be close right now. She would have kept the Hillary voters in camp. She would have strengthened Obama's appeal to white middle class and women voters. And, most importantly, she would have eliminated the Sarah Palin choice.
Hillary is the anti-Palin or at least the antidote to Palin.
Where is she?
There are a few theories. One, is that she really does not want Obama to win so she is sitting this one out in hopes of running in 2012. Two, is that she will ride in on a white horse at the end, make an appeal to her voters, and save the day. Three, is that she still wants the Obama people to help pay off her campaign debt and she won't do anything until she gets that commitment.
Either way, Hillary would be a force in this campaign, if she wants. My feeling is that even if she does get involved, it will be half-hearted. A passive-aggressive move to keep her hopes alive for 2012.
Bill and Hillary have to be loving this!
